Ever Skip Meals?
If I just don't have time to get something or make something, I found that a meal bar works. The South Beach Living meal bars are good and keep me feeling full longer since they are high in protein. You ever find your self guilty of skipping meals?

I don't like the taste of those. Skipping meals is a habit that I had to break. And, I'm glad I did. Now, if I know I'm going to be out and about, I make sure I have some kind of snack - an apple, a banana, a baggie of celery sticks or broccoli crowns, or even a little package of almonds. And, I make sure and plan time to eat. It was a hard habit to break, but it really made a difference in my weight loss.

I used to eat the Zone bars as they have a lot of protein too, but now, I find that if I just plan, I can get better nutrition for the same calories. :)

Are you dieting? If so, what "diet"? I'm doing weight watchers. :)

Hmmm...not a problem if your "day" is, say, from 8:00 p.m. until 10 a.m. I trust you eat during the day, Nimue?

I find that if I eat late at night (since I have a traditional day of up at 5:30 am and bed by 9:30 or 10pm), i get heartburn, so it's a huge deterrent for me!

If you find yourself skipping breakfast - no matter what time you eat it (it's the first meal of your day), I'd say to look at how you feel and when you are actually hungry. If you are trying to lose weight, starving yourself (skipping meals) isn't the way to do it, your body will shut down and start saving the fat because it thinks it needs to.

This is the first I have heard of this! LOL..

No really.. Was always told to eat 3 small meals a day and a light snack in-between. Never really worked for me though :(
Was also told if you drink a glass of water a half hour before eating, you will fill up faster with less food.. ;)

the great thing about the south beach meal bars is they dont contain high fructose corn syrup. i started eating them after i had my son as a way to help me hold off from eating unhealthy snacks. now, they are a regular snack in my day!

I don't exactly skip meals, but I don't eat on a normal schedule either.

I like the Power Bar peanut butter crisp and the Balance Bar original peanut butter bar, but hardly ever any of the other brands or varieties. I have this peanut butter addiction and those two varieties are the only ones that actually taste like real peanut butter.

I like to munch on carrots.. Bad habit lol.. But worked well when quit smoking ;)

Yes ((((((( Tammy ))))))))) do be careful. I think that they should have made the owner of that peanut company eat some of the tainted peanut butter. Instead of allowing him to plead the 5th. He should have eating 1/5 of the jar. :D Just my humble opinion.

Yeppers ya'll are a riot. No I dont skip meals. I plan and do the best I can. I am not on a "Diet" I am on a change of lifestyle. Hence relearning to eat three meals and three snacks a day was challenging but I did it. Its a matter of choice and planning. Plus you wont be hungry all the time and eating healthier has better effects than anything else. Plus do you work out or exercise at all? Just curious

Ok questoin how do you get tofu eggs? I know that you would use the fake plastic eggs and spoon tofu in them. Hence how can the tofu eggs be happy? LOL Gotcha! :) By the way I am down to 164.6 :) and in size 11 jeans! :)
Although being diabetic is a new twist in the works I am still doing it! :)

I agree with SassySam! If you know you will get busy then stick a special K bar or granola in your purse or jacket. Then you will have something to tide you over and help you keep on track where you arent skipping meals! Hope this helps!

I mostly skip my lunch because i takes heavy breakfast which makes me full stomach rest of the day,then i eats dinner.I never ever skip my breakfast meal.

Skipping meals is a big No No! If your body is a car, it cant run unless you fuel up. You could go light on the lunch but eat something. This I know to be true.
Btw I was back up to 195 due to the job driving trucks and no exercise as well as being sick. But now bringing it back down slowly.
