I definitely agree, Irish. Obama seems like he'll be more of a people's president than the outgoing regime (oops, I mean administration...or do I?).

(((( Ladies ))))

First, Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!! Hope your Holidays were great!

Sorry I have not been around much, Joshua has been in and out of the hospital the last month. When he would eat, as he was sucking his nip it was running out of is nose, took him to his PEDS dr. and he said is was reflux. Okay we can handle that. He put him on zantac <sp> said it would help. It didn't... They cat scanned him and ran a bunch of test. The little flap in his asophagus <sp> was not formed right or all the way. It would not stay closed. So they made a 2 inch cut mid chest and stitched it. Was in hospital for a week for that. Then he started coughing up green gooey stuff, had an infection in his left lung. Was in hospital 9 days for that. We are home now ( for good I pray ) He is doing much better now. Still has a little cough, but that is being controled with an abuteral <sp> treatment every 4 hours..

So do we wanna know how my holidays were?

(climbs off the box, wipes her forehead and sighs...

(((((((((((((((((((((((((Daccie)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

awww... Christopher (who is now 15) had something similar, his was the valve at the end of his stomach (the pyloric valve) grew closed and he couldn't get anything to stay down. It took me four visits to the pediatrician to get someone to actually figure it out!! first they said it was the flu - ok ...what 3 week old baby gets the flu???? they cut a HUGE section of his stomach open to do the operation, at the time, I remember thinking about how huge the scar was on his tiny body. Now, the scar is about 1/4 of an inch in size... and the kid eats like there is no tomorrow!! LOL!

My prayers are with all of you for the new year..

(((Daccie and family))) My younger 2 had medical problems, one of them needing surgery when he was 6 months old--just before Christmas (1982). I hear exactly what you're going through...You hear so many people saying stuff like, "Gee, one more present for Aunt Sophie and one for Timmy, and we'll be done," and all you can think of is, "Please, God, let my son be okay." Sometimes we forget what's important...

That said, DACD, I'll be praying for you, Josh, and the whole family. As will most of us here, I'm sure.

((((((Roomies WOW's Families))))))))) Just wishing all of you a better year for good health happiness and wealth. But of all of these I wish you good health for all.

Travis being home was great and sad. He is now back for training.

My cousin's husband went into hospital today. Finally after three months of his health declining a doctor kept him for tests and observation!

That said one of my native brothers passed away on New Year's Day. He always was smiling thus that is what I am going to remember.

Hope all of you do better for this year!

Have a great day!
