Kowalski, Since the new uprisings in the middle east and north Africa I have a new found hope that once the "old" dictators are removed and the new blood continues to stand for a better way, maybe then there is hope for peace...As long as the young people have good intent and a fierce distaste for evil doers. I know that sounds idealistic, but stranger things have occured in life.

Hi sister! I think that being agnostic means that you don't have any proof either way, so you're open to any possibilty - probably the most logical way to think about religion. The difference between agnostics and Godians is that Godians believe in a God, but after that, it's all speculation. And I'm sure that Asim, my Muslim friend retains his beliefs in Islam, but when I told him about Godianism, he totally embraced the concept.

To each their own. For no one can tell another what they will be when they grow up as well as what they believe in. So there are many paths to enlightenment that each person will perceive as what is good for them. Yet many cultures do embrace many similiar beliefs. A good movie to prove this is called Enemy Mine with Louis Gossett Jr. and Dennis Quaid ( i think that is his name) Yet if all we learn is to embrace life, love the people despite the chaos and do good in whatever way we can, that my friends is a good journey. IMO Hugs

Wolfie, that's an old movie. But, I love Enemy Mine, and you were right with the names. Everyone should see this movie at least once because it was very well done!

I have my own God of whom I am trying to discover, does this make me Deists or Scientist, what is to stop religion being of nature, including physical, mathematical and of social realms, so what if I found that this was true would that make me a scientist, does this mean that a Scientist should believe, we will go round and round on this subject until the end of time with no resolution. The only person to make this decision is ourselves.

I so agree with your statement. It is a very personal choice to believe in what we believe to be true.

mst and Doreene, you both are right. Nobody knows. Some religions have multiple Gods that they believe in that have different purposes. Most religions believe in God, but have different names for the Creator. I made up my own religion (Godianism) because since religion is totally faith-based and we have faith, why not have everyone in all those religions JUST believe in God. By the way, in the past 2 weeks there are 2 more Godians out there! And yeah, we don't know.
