Thumbs up Computer Games

Hi

Been a visitor to this site for a few weeks, but only just decided to take the plunge and make a post.

I just wanted to know if anyone else out there was as addicted to video games as me? I know it sounds sad, but as a mother with a young child I find computer games and the web in general a great way to relax.

I?m not talking about kill the ?bad guy? games but things with a little more thought. So pretty much anything from Solitaire to Final Fantasy and anything in between.

Take care..

Welcome to WOW OrangeDoc! Glad to have you with us!

I'm into PopCap, Game House and Wonka games. Sometimes I go into Pogo. It's a great way to relax for a little bit. I play mostly when grandkids are taking an afternoon nap.

Hi Orange Doc, Welcome to the boards.

I too love PopCap games, solitaire, hearts, etc. Actually it's good for you. Thinking uses the brain more and in that process slows down CRS.

If you get a chance pop into one of the chats .. would like to see you there.

Once again Welcome to WOW.

Hi Irish.

Thanks for that. I'm glad playing games is good for my health. J

I've just started Gumshoe-Online, it's a detective game on the web, the puzzles are pretty tough but I?m doing ok. I?m resisting the urge to ask for help on the forum? lol..

Are there still interactive fiction and MUDS knocking around? I?m not really interested in fantasy or sci-fi games; I?d prefer something more familiar, ideally historical.

Hi.

Been ages since I popped in, I think I'm working too hard - lol...

Just thought I'd mention that's there's a new Gumshoe Online case out and it's fab! A lot more complicated than the last one and the story seems a lot better.

Apart from that I've bought an old Dreamcast from ebay with a copy of Shenmue, why can't all games be this good? It's like taking part in a film!

I like the hidden object games and some of the time management games. Match 3 is always good if there is some greater objective. Cradle of Rome 2 just on my DS but I have hit a sticking point, a level that I think is going to require lottery winner luck to clear and they won't let you use a bomb to open up locked area. I hate that.
