WOW umm I sense a little hostility here. I don't like to say much when there is so much anger but I am going to put my 2 cents in. Tiffin you complain about WOW being slow and dieing what have you done to help keep it WOW alive????? WOWs can only host chats and post them for everyone to see it is up to the chatters to come in and chat. I know as a Host I have put in many hours into researching something that I wanted to share with chatters only to have a handfull of chatters show up. I miss some of the old roomies as well. As a Host I have also tried several times emailing any and all chatters who's email address I had to let them know of a scheduled chat. I have been tolerant when during my chats there have been old roomies come in and advertise for other chat rooms. To be honest at some point everyone has to take responsibility for their own actions. If you want to help WOW become the hopping hot spot you like do your part and tell your friends to join you in a chat.

At first I was not even going to respond to Melynn?s tart post but I would like to know Where does wishing folks on the various holidays where I?ve posted in the either the get to know the WOW staff or here in the WOW chats ?Happy what ever Holiday it happens to be to my friends? is bashing? The one only other post was in Janurary in the Tapestry folder where I said ?Yay after 6 months of no new articles finally a new edition? yep yep that?s bashing ? Melynn I?m sorry that you feel those posts are bashing. I also read all folders. A habit I developed when I first came to WOW many years ago.

I am truly sorry that many of you read my post and then had to defend an issue that I hadn?t even brought up. No where in my posts did I go into any of the servers WOW has selected, or who or what shouldn?t be in the chat rooms. Who is hosting how they host, who isnt hosting because they are on leaves. Those items are not my concern. Never has been, never will be. The rant about folks who are on LOA had nothing to do with what I was stating about Supporting the chats that are scheduled, having more chats, and maybe those at WOW should attend more of each others chats to get other folks back into the chat rooms. If that is bashing so be it.

If my post stating that Tapestry and Weaver not being up to snuff hurts; well honestly it should. Both are well worth reading and letting them slip as they have is sad.

When folks respond as many of you did an old saying pops into my mind ? Me thinks thou dost protest to much?. ( Shakespare)

I attend one of WillowWOW?s two chats and AuroraWOW?s chat basically every week showing my support of WOW by being there. I also invite folks to be there, but I can?t make them be there either. Yes everyone has different time frames. Some folks are gamers, some folks just want to goof off, some folks want serious discussions. Some folks don?t like to chat so hince they post. I?m a chatter, not a poster.

At least my sentence about dying a slow death, brought out folks to post?

Now that is cleared up COOKIEART the only day that is not good for me is Saturday, that?s my market day of selling my crafts here in Anchorage at the ?Saturday Market? from 9am to 6pm. The season just started and what can I say other than its fun! Soooo any time, day/nite you can get the oldies together is good for me.

There are three of us who are responsible for getting Tapestry and Weaver out. I realize that you do not know what goes on in our personal lives. In the past year, all three of us have had some serious family or health matters to deal with. We are first and foremost women and mothers. If something has to give, it will not be our families.

I WAS slow to get new issues of Weaver out, but in that time, I was undergoing 4 hand surgeries, resulting in my losing two fingers. It was not possible for me to do a lot of typing.

You talk of showing support. Telling those of us who are involved here that we are not taking our jobs seriously, is NOT supportive.

Please remember that each of us is more than a chat room, newsletter, or e-zine. We are women and that's what WOW should be about.

OK,now that everyone has said their opinions,anger,frustrations,blaming fingers on who did what..let's all stop and breath.
Tiffin,Sunday night is good enough for me.Ok? How about 8pm est? Everyone?
Remember,I am not trying to get everyone together to yell at each other,I am trying to get us all together for the sake of old times and old friends.Who knows,maybe we can make this into what the WOW chatroom used to be,something to say WOW!

Y'know, I'm having the hardest time wrapping my brain around this obsession with going backwards. What was going on in WOW a year ago that's so worth ceasing to grow and change and adapt? In this folder right here, one year ago almost to the day, some folks started playing a little game about choice. That little game grew and propelled this folder through about 500 posts where various people posted a preference between two things.. this or that. Then that game grew into a whole discussion of its own. Forward motion.

Off the boards, a year or so ago, I was fielding various email complaints about a man in the room lurking and logging for hours on end and copy/pasting personal discussions into emails and firing them off to half the free world. Then I was fielding complaints because I removed that man from the room when he was so desparately in need of support from his friends in #WS.

And, of course, a year ago in many places, we were having what has turned into the never-ending discussion about how WOW is dying. Exactly how long is "dying" supposed to last before something is actually dead? Are there different levels of dead? Was WOW dead a year ago and now it's just really dead?

It seems to me that some folks don't understand the difference between death and change. If WOW was dead, you wouldn't be able to post here and say it's dead. WOW isn't dead because there are a group of individuals here that keep it alive. WOW has changed over the last few years, because that core group of individuals that keep it alive have a different relationship with each other and with the forum than groups of individuals had in the past.

I think it's time for a reality check. It's always nice to yearn for times gone by.. when gas was 10 cents a gallon and we didn't have to put up with fuschia terror alerts. If you want to go back in time to what WOW was a year ago, you will continue to meet resistance and you may want to blame it on me or Melynn or any number of hosts, but it's not us. You're arguing with a much larger force than any of us.

Things change, and WOW is no exception to that. The bottom line is that life only has one direction - forward.

Actually things have changed....things aren't the way they used to be....Yet it takes everyone to work toward a mutual goal to keep things the way we'd like it....Yet then again the same can be applied when things aren't the way we'd like them........Either way its' up the those who chat or post here that can make WOW what it is!

I myself applaud what TammyWOW said and agree! I am no saint and I do get busy so forgive me, life happens, LOL yet when I can I am here

Just remember we are here cause we love it and wouldnt be anywhere else!

I do appreciate and love each and everyone of you cause you have made me a better person today! So know you do have an positive impact on others. Have a great day!
