I definitely don't like the stores open on Thanksgiving. My daughter works at a local Walgreens, and they're open today. Yup, she has to work, at minimum wage. Yuck. I would not shop on Thanksgiving; those in non-essential jobs shouldn't have to work, unless they're paid double-time. (Sorry for the rant, folks!)

Black Friday - going out early or not?

Not going out at all.

Christmas: Do you appreciate the true reason for the day?
Good rant, rjs.

I keep the day for what it is. I may not hit a local church but there is a reason for the season and it isn't the madness you see at the store today.

Christmas eve to celebrate or just Christmas day?
BTW Kudos on the rant rjs

More on the inside.

For a Christmas party, do you like looking a bit sexy or not?

Christmas party this year! Sexy, I think I may try. Got a dress at least.

At a party, do you dance or just mingle?

I'm that wall flower that talks to whom I know then sits off by myself. I don't really do parties or crowds well.

Do you think there should be a cap on the price you pay for holiday gifts or just go crazy on the spending?

I don't go crazy on spending. I buy inexpensive gifts that I know the person would appreciate.

Are you offended when a person gives you an inexpensive gift?

And Priss, I'm going to a Holiday party with my bf and . . . I'm actually going to buy a new dress AND a pair of heels! So unlike me. I'm normally a conservative. LOL!

As an "adult" I'm finding it more fun to give presents than to receive. So an inexpensive present is really OK. Sometimes they can be funny too!

Do you still want that "big", expensive gift from your BF/husband or just something he put thought into? ("Both" is an acceptable answer!)

(Jen I bought a new dress too! Hope I chose well, it fits at least. Mine is rather form fitting and has a small peplum ruffle at the waist. I don't think it makes my hips look too big. He hasn't seen me in it yet. Wanted to look a little sexy/flirty LOL.)

I love a gift that he had put some thought into. Although . . . a ring would be nice.

At a holiday party, do you divide your time between your guy and your girlfriends?

(Priss, I'm sure that you'll look awesome in that dress! I haven't purchased mine yet, but am looking for something a bit sexy/flirty too. Isn't it fun being a girl?!!!)

Only two close GF's so.....but I do try to mingle at a party. I stay away from politics though! It's true, really. Not kidding.

Does your guy though stick to you like glue at a party or go off with the other guys?

He never sticks to me like glue. He'll have some some fun talking to his guys and I'll have fun talking to my girls. But, we always have fun.

Yes/No: Do you have a Christmas song that you like more than other ones?

Yes, I love the silly songs. Jeff Dunham has some of the best.

Go out singing Christmas carols or not.

I can't sing well so no caroling for me. I love it though when people do it.

Politically correct "Happy Holiday" or "Merry Christmas" is OK?

(Ever use the "Xmas" abbreviation?)
