I've decided that I'll be taking that as a compliment.

My favorite "weird" movie is Labyrinth, with David Bowie as the Goblin King.

If you all want to see a weird movie, rent "Nothing But Trouble" with Demi Moore, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd ( I think ) and a whole host of others. I have seen many movies in my life time, and this one is the weirdest.. and WORST Bar NONE !!!

HEY!!!! I LOVED CRYBABY!
I love any John Waters film and Johnny Depp is da man...wasn't that a cute tear tattoo by his eye? And wasn't Ricky Lake an attractive unmarried pregnant teen? You should also watch Hairspray.

I'm never disappointed in Johhny Depp!
Has anyone seen the documentary by Rory Kennedy called "American Hollow"? It's about a family in Eastern Kentucky. It's fascinating. I've seen it twice. Rory is lecturing nearby and I'd love to go. |

Not sure where to put this but here goes...
We rented Harry Potter tonight. With our Blockbuster receipt we received this notice: "Now, when you rent Harry Potter on DVD between 5/28/02 and 6/10/02 at this store location, you can purchase one (1) previously rented DVD copy of Harry Potter for just $9.99 plus tax! The original receipt (no copies) showing the rental of Harry Potter must be presented at time of purchase of the previously rented copy to receive the promotional price and promotional price only applies to a purchase on the same BLOCKBUSTER membership account as the rental. You must purchase the previously rented copy by 12/10/02...." Although it says "this store location" it appears to be a national promotion. It also says "There may be a substantial delay between the release of Harry Potter and its availability as a previously rented product." but it's something to keep in mind.

I have a question, and this seemed like as good a place as any to post it, lol. Do you all know what movie "sitting in the corner making sock monkeys" comes from? I can't give you the exact quote, but that's part of it.

Not sure about the sock monkey thing, but I just wanted to come in here and say....
OH MAN, "Angels in America" is absolutely PHENOMENAL. The first three hours was on tonight, and the second three hours is on next Sunday. On HBO. Un-freaking-believable.

Oh I agree!! It'll repeat all week if anyone missed it. If the kids are around, you might want to tape it and watch later. WOW, though!
