Just popping in to report that Tamara is home! She showed up at my parents' house just after New Year, and it took some negotiation (and eventually some duress) to get her to agree to leave California. We're trying to get her into a charter school here which will let her move at her own pace and maybe graduate on time or half a year late - the public school would put her back in the second half of 9th grade! She's settling in and seems more cheerful than I'd expected.

aloha...I've been writing reports for work.I don't think they will ever be published.

I did get a great photo of a whale tail on my birthday while mrmauka and I were on a whale watch. A present from a humpback whale to me. And ..the island is so pretty from the ocean.
