Did my kid just say that?

Sometimes it is just hard to beleave what our childern wiil say to us.Be it sage advice, cookin tips, or to ask us questions that make us go duh why didn't I think of that?. So lets hear what has come out of the mouths of babes.

My father inlaw might be getting some money soon. So he says maybe he wiil take us all on vaction. My little girl tells him"Grandpa I'll call you when I'm on vaction."
I guess she thought that grandpa wasn't going to go even if he was paying for it.

Gee and this is surprising to you?
when my son was a little boy we were having dinner at a local resturant and this boy very loudly asks " does chocolate milk come from black cows?"

Very Fascinating

Yeah I agree. Most little kids want to know how things work. And they are inherently interested in living things and events. And I find it interesting and fascinating when they blurt out a comment or question. Right?

Heres one when my son was little I think he was about 4 years old.At the time I can remeber I was just about broke and payday was like two days away. We are driving along and he ask if we can go to McDonalds. I said no that mommy didn't have the money for it right now. He tells me thats okay and maybe after I got money we could go. There was no crying or fits of temper. How many 4 year olds are that understanding?

I have a 5 year old who loves to watch Billy the Exterminator with his grandpa. He picks up some good ones from Billy... The other day, he told me in a very calm voice that if I didn't get back from the bathroom soon, he would be "mad as h*ll"! I had to try really hard not to laugh and explain to him that those aren't nice words, and he shouldn't repeat after Billy the Exterminator.
