Pioneer Women : Voices from the Kansas Frontier by Joanna L. Stratton

This is a compilation of diary entries from one of Stratton's ancestors if I remember correctly. Her journey on a wagon across country from Pa to Kansas. Chronicles of her experiences along the way. It's been a few years since I read this book but I found it very interesting.

Nobody Nowhere by Donna Williams. This is an autobiography about growing up autistic. It is an excellent book.

An example of the king of thing I'm looking for is the story about the woman who was on a hijacked flight, eventually shot in the head, pushed out of the plane and left for dead, but who against all the odds, survived the whole ordeal, teaching herself to walk, talk, function etc again. It's an unbelievable contemporary story, so anything like that would be great.

I remember a chat a while back with Kathleen Nadeau hosted by, what was her name..... oh yeah.... MoonWOW!

She has written some excellent books on Women with ADD.

There is a series of book by an author named Jean Sasson called the Princess Series. It is a true story about the life if a Saudi Princess and her fight for women's rights around the world. It was a really good book and kind of shocking at times.
