I've only been to Athens... I would recommend going there only for a day to see the sights and then going to a less touristy area for the rest of the time...
I really wasn't impressed by Athens and wished we could have gone to the islands but there were really bad storms and we got stuck there for four days... |

Whereabouts in Greece are you visiting? I lived there for almost three years in Saloniki-northern Greece. It's become rather expensive now that they have changed to the Euro. The Greek Islands are beautiful, but over populated in the summer months. |

Do some research as well. Maybe take the less travelled path. Sometimes that is where you find the most enjoyment of the people culture and life. Hope this helps.
Please dont forget to grab some postcards some of us do collect them LOL Have a great day!

I LOVE Greece! I visited Athens only for a day coming and going- that was enough for me Visit the Acropolis if you can. I took a boat to Santorini and it was a magical week, then a week in Mykonos-totally fun and a week in Paros-also nice. The water is a blue green color, the people warm and friendly- the food delicious! Enjoy!
