Kinda embarrassed

Hi all.I'm new here...Nikki is my name 18/f from the states...i have a situation im hoping you can help me out with. I'm the only girl in my house as my mom died last year.As such,i don't have anyone around to talk bout girl stuff.I'm fast approaching a moment where i could use her wisdom, but instead i turn to the help of strangers...

Next week i am going to the gynecologist for the first time and im freaking out. I dont have anything wrong with me.Im a virgin. The only reason i am going is because my aunt made the appt for me after convincing my dad that i was "of age" to start going...

any tips/tricks/stories to ease the nerves would be appreciated...

Well Nikki talk to you Doctor whoever that may be. Let them know you are scared and talk to you before touching you. To keep on talking to you during the exam. This way it will help ease your fears. Hopefully you will get a good doctor who will totally understand. Getting scared of something new is understandable, yet as a woman you will go thru this countless of times especially when you start having babies. The exam can be uncomfortable a bit. But nothing for you to freak out. I am sure once you are done you will laugh at it. Wish you the best. Good Luck! Hugs

Yes they record your weight but no crash diets ok? Tis not good nor healthy. I did lose sixty pounds on my own so if you want to lose weight but keep it off let me know I would be glad to help you. Hugs

I hope your appointment went well. I know my first time was scary as well. Most doctors who work in that field are sensitive to the fact that everyone's first time can be very intriguing and filled with fear. If this one didn't go as smoothly as you would have liked, you can always try working with another doctor at the same office or just go to another place altogether. It's just important to go get checked out every year, no matter which doctor you are seeing.

Nik, you'll get used to it! And since you'll be going into the Navy, you'll really have to get used to it. You'll be OK. What I try to think about a lot is mind over matter. My only problem is . . . . I don't have a mind! Take care.
