For those that missed the State of the Union for 2011, one thing Obama plans on doing to lower national debt is to freeze spending at current rates, shuffling money around from places that don't need help (like Big Oil) to places that do (like alternative energy). Read more about it here.

What are your spending ideas for the country? I think we would save billions if we slashed military spending and cut perks, pay, and retired pay for our representatives and congresspersons. What are your thoughts on this? What are your suggestions?
