Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Neither my brain nor my email was working properly. I am in northwest Florida and our weather finally turned warm. Since I started riding my own, I have had to wear leathers almost everytime I rode. This weekend I didn't need them and wore my kevlar shirt to protect me from the sun. I eventually took it off and rode in a t shirt. It is so nice not to be cold while riding. It is nice today and I may go for a ride just for the heck of it. I have a Honda Aero 750. The bike I crashed on was a Honda VTX 1300. I went to the Aero because it was narrower than the 1300 which made it easier for me to balance. It also has a low seat height and low center of gravity which makes it super easy to control at slow speeds.
Do you still ride?

I've lived in Florida the majority of my life. I lived in Burtonwood AFB in Warrington England before I moved to Florida. I grew up in Cocoa Beach which is next to Kennedy Space Center back when the space race was really booming. It was a very strange place to grow up in. We moved about a year and a half ago to the northwest section of the state. I like it here much better as it has not turned into a concrete jungle, yet. I say yet because people are building like mad around here.
We used to live about 150 meters from the ocean in Cocoa Beach. Evacuating for a hurricane meant that you might have nothing to come home to. Now we are further away from the Gulf of Mexico and we had no damage after getting hit by Hurricane Ivan last year.

I have just discovered the "group"
Celtic Woman through a pbs (no not me!!) special. Oh My Gosh! Loved em so much I went out and got the CD (by the way...it's available at wal-mart for $13.98 or you can pledge to pbs for $100 to get it.) Am so excited that they have a new CD out now! can't wait to go get it! anyone else like Celtic music? I find it is so very soothing after a hard day. (((((((((EVERYONE))))))))))))

Ooohhh, I love Celtic music! And I've watched the Celtic Women special on PBS. (Thanks, Pooh's Big Sister!) Watched Celtic Women the first few times with SO, so whenever I hear of them or watch them, it brings back good memories.
Celtic Women are either going to be or have just been in my area in the next day or two. Just before Riverdance performs locally. Both of these are things that SO and I would have loved going to. Riverdance has been in the area several times over the past few years, but SO and I could never afford to go. I would absolutely love to go to either one of these (or, preferrably, both! ). Well, maybe someday... |

I saw Riverdance once...it was good, but the stage was too small in the theater where we saw it, and really affected the overall experience.
You'd be better off seeing a local Irish dance troupe put on a performance somewhere...I've enjoyed those more over the years.

I play the piano. Great way to work off frustration or depressed feelings. I love the classics, oldies, rock and roll, some coutnry. I like any kind of music as long as it is good. I am also one of those who sits and listens to music and lose myself in it and let it envelop me.

I like just about any kind of music if it's good. I don't care for rap, but I love the Indi-rock stuff. Looking at the posts before me, talking about Celtic music, which I also like a lot, I was just thinking that the basketball team in Boston should pronounce their name as Keltic, not Seltic! LOL!

I love most kinds of music. I play the piano and sang in choruses in high school and choirs in church. I recently purchased a turntable which plays 33-1/3's and 45's and 78's. I have a rather large collection of vinyls so I am enjoying the turntable a lot. It is in the room where my comptuer is so I listen to it while I am on the computer.
