My name is Tamraaa. I'm seventeen, almost eighteen. 147lbs, and I'm a little over 5'1. I eat pretty healthy, and I walk an hour every other day-ish. I workout profusely everynight before bed. I don't hate the way I look, but I hate the way I feel. Haha ugkkk and I hate when my boyfriend plays at my lovehandles. He jiggles and tickles, and his sound effects are obnoxious Haha! But I have some relationship issues if anyone's willing to listen and give me advice. Just let me know

As for me it's hard to even think of life without the friends I have made here! As for the weight thing, 147!!! I haven't seen that weight sence 8th. grade!!! Hon, if you have a weight issue it's the stupid man who teases you! Went I weighed that much way back when, I was 5'2" and my measurements were 38-24-36 and I wore a size 10! Don't let him tell you you're fat cause hon you are the right size for you.

Embrace your Unique Beauty!
Why compare yourself with others? Celebrate your one-of-a-kind beautiful Self and embrace it all!
I know it is not that easy, but I can assure you that it gets easier as you get older. I am 43 years old and like most women have had my moments of forgetting how amazing I am After working in the high fashion industry for over 2 decades and working with thousands of women one-on-one discussing beauty issues, weight issues, etc.... I realized that it all comes down to shifting your perspective and choosing gratitude for all the special gifts you have. Each woman has something special about her, whether it is on the inside or outside. Celebrating our diversity, enjoying one's unique beauty-now that it HOT! It takes time, support and a commitment to love yourself-but the payoff is worth it. Spend a little time each day focusing on what you love about yourself and see what happens! xoxo, Margaret |

I have never had issues with my weight, how ever my boobs are another story. I'm well adjusted, have great kids, great friends and job. So why do i feel so self conscience out in public because i'm small breasted? Maybe because the media puts so much empathise on our breasts. Men are judged on their actions, women on their looks.

I have to agree with Crazymomma and Lingerie Goddess. It has taken me years to accept how I look. I still have issues over my own weight but that is more towards a healthier me. Not what others perceive I should look like to be accepted. My motto is if you dont like what you see then dont look! I have lost 60 pounds yet still need another 45 pounds gone. Mainly in the abdominals. Although my core is solid, I want a smaller size there. All the same, if you love someone you want the best for them. Yet not belittling them into it. You have to accept yourself. If you want to change that its your decision but make sure its for the reasons for yourself. Not for someone else or whatever. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Welcome to WOW. Body images. It seems in today's society if you don't look anerexic you're heavy. That's a really sad image to live up to. The wonderful thing about being a woman young or slightly more mature is that we should be comfortable with who we are.
Granted if that image is really obese then check with your dr & see what can be done. If you're 5 / 10#s over that's not obese. After reading some of these blogs there is a pattern, if your boyfriend is making fun of your love handles.. making sounds etc then it's time to sit him down. Let him know how it's affecting you. He may not realize it but, that too is a form of abuse/ control. It's makes you uncomfortable. Let him know it's time to stop it. Good luck.

In reference to the last posting, by someone named Lance - I'm not sure if you are on the right site to be trying to pick up women. My understanding is that this website is for women to talk to one another and share own feelings and concerns. Men are no doubt welcome to join us, but there are other places than this to get a date. Perhaps I'm out of line, but this is the way I feel.

Hello everyone this is my first comments on this site, I think we all look at ourselves and dont feel happy about so many things yet to others we sound and look ok, after all who here likes to hear their own voice and who would feel comfortable walking around a room full of mirrors. You sound a very together girl if someone does not like how you look in relationship or friendship then it is obviously their loss.
