Historical Reads
I love reading historical books... My favorite book is definitely, Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky... I find it so intriguing to read about historical events in the context of salt and its historical influence.
Anyone else into these kinds of books and have any recommendations? |

Sounds like an interesting book JustADream21. I read the reviews on it and plan to look it up the next time I go to the library.
I like reading history books or watching the history channel. You learn so much. It's been awhile though since I've read a history book. Family history has become really interesting for me lately. My hubby's uncle has been working on Genealogy report for his part of the family. While I was search files to gather my family information for him, I came across something written by my great uncle and it dates back to the early 1800's. So I've started a family tree. I'm hoping to gather information from all sides of our family to add to the tree. I can't afford to pay for one of those Family Genealogy searches, so I've been asking different people in the family to gather information for me. I've learned so much already and I think it will be a great way to share some history with my family and grandchildren.
