What do I do
I work in a group home for people with disabilities. I really love it. The people I work with ,most of them have autisum. They range from ages 23-51. There are eight. 4men and 4 women. Yes, it is a challenging job, but I love it.

I made a big switch about five years ago. i went from being a social worker, to being a prison guard and I love it. I work with male federal inmates, while it is not as challenging or as rewarding as working with women and children, at this point in my life it is a perfect fit.

About 2 years ago I retired from banking after 30 years and went to work for a company that does mental health work with children in their homes or in their schools. I'm currently the HR Specialist/Administrative Assistant.

I just started a new career at the age of 47 and am so excited about it. Who loves to travel? I know I do so I became a partner in an online travel website. I will put my passion to work for me.
Have a great day, follow your dreams and passions Sherri |

I work in an emergency veterinary clinic. We're open 24/7 and right now I work on the weekends (10am-8pm) and on the holidays. I really want to get full-time hours. I used to work in a vet clinic but left it about 15 years ago and then ended up in retail for a long time. I love my job because I love helping animals.

I am currently looking for a job in phlebotomy since I passed my final. Other than being a stay at home mom for many years. Now its time for me to do for me to get out of this hole I am in.

Okay for all my smart WOWies....
If you go put in an application somewhere and you call and check on your application and are not hiring.. Okay no problem.. You go into this place 2 weeks later and are told "sorry we are not hiring at this point" by the manager... You turn around and are talking to someone and over hear the manager tell a 17 or 18 year old kid let me get your application and they look at it and say yea come on in tomorrow for an interview.. And this person gets a job there (you know cause this person is your sons friend) How would you feel?

Upset and wondering why that company would lie. I would call about it after the kid gets the job. Just letting them know you know that they lied. Something about their Ethics wouldnt make me want to work there. But I know a job is a job and its better than no job. Yet I am sure that the Better Business Bureau in your area would love to know why they did this to you. Something to think about Dacd! Hugs
