Softcups?
Hello ladies!!
I'm wondering if any of you have tried softcups. I'm actually wearing one for the first time, and I think I really like it. I have always been curious, and the many chemicals that they use in tampons worry me. I don't like pads because I don't like the squishy feeling (for lack of better terms), then I read a horrifying story online about a woman that discovered mold on a tampon that she almost inserted, and that was it. I think I'm going to switch, but I would love to hear from someone with personal experience. Thank you!! |

Sorry! It's an alternative to pads and tampons. It's a small plastic cup that fits over your cervix, and it can be worn for 12 hours.

Okay so I've got to say your post intrigued me enough that I just had to look it up. And I guess, in my opinion, it sounds great in theory. My only hang up would be that...well I could see perhaps that the removal could possibly have the potential to be...well, messy. Maybe that's not the case. Obviously, I don't have first hand knowledge. But, anyway, I say if it works for you and you like or are more comfortable with this product, then go for it. HTH

I'll apologize in advance for the TMI, but it can be a bit messy. I guess as long as you don't mind, (I don't) it's a great idea. If you decide to try it, just make sure you're sitting on the toilet fir insertion and removal, lol. I haven't had sex with one in though, so I can't give you my review on that aspect.

Hi Bethany. I've never tried one. During my period I use tampons during the day, but before I go to bed I remove my tampon and put a pad in my "period panties". This has worked for me, but you're right about pads - I couldn't wear them all the time! I'll have to check out softcups though.
