Looking as young as I feel through surgery
I recently joined this forum and for my first post I have decided to discuss something that's been weighing heavy on my mind for some time now. But before jumping into the nitty-gritty, I feel you need some background info. First off I'm 22 and I gave birth to a giant baby in March of 2008. He was 9 and a half pounds, which was no small feat for someone of my stature (5'2" 120 lbs before pregnancy). Anyway, after i gave birth my doctor told me that I had Diastasis and my body was in such a state that it was as if I had just had my fourth child rather than my first. Basically I will never have a flat stomach again unless I have surgery to correct it.
So this is where my dilemma comes in. Through some independent research I have found that many women who have this surgery also have a tummy tuck, kind of a two birds one stone deal. I have also found a website that helps people get surgery in state of the art hospitals abroad for up to 75% cheaper than if I were to have the procedure at home. So, do I get the surgery and feel infinitely better about myself or do I go on a diet plan with no guarantee of results? I really don't know what to do and I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say. Please impart upon me your sage advice! |

Welcome to WOW (((MyTorturedSenses))) I dont know alot of your condition. Thus said, do you have the resources for doing the surgery(s) abroad? Do you have someone to be with you while you have this done? I personally have a belly that I doubt will ever be flat again unless I have surgery aka a tummy tuck to fix it. This is my stripes of motherhood. I do work out six days a week. I have lost 60 pounds prior to being a diabetic. Yet still work out for overall health and hope to finish my weight loss. Roughly around 30 pounds or so. I would do a lot of research and get actual facts based on truth. Then talk it over with my local doctor and Significant other. From there you can decide what you do in the long end. Take a look around the message boards and perhaps join in on the hosted chats. Hope this helps as it was meant too.
Have a great day!
