writing

Hi,

I've just read some remarks on the theme about writing, how to do it, how to become succesfull enough to do ones living on it . . . and I would just like to add a phrase that I've found just a few days ago and it helps me really a lot:
Picasso said: "I always do things I cannot do, that's how I learn to do them." So just go for it!

grants

I'm looking for any information leading to securing a grant for a womyn run business to help them buy the property. This is my first time writing for a business. Thanks for any help.

Research it at the library or on line. Check the different avenues that are out there. Then go forward, Good luck.

thanks. i've been looking online a lot. most grants are for non-profit org.'s with a 501(c)3. If you or anyone knows of grantors that fund small womyn run business' please let me know. Thanks again for the supportive message.

Check out your local Small Business Association. You can probably get their phone number from your local Chamber of Commerce or Better Business Bureau. The Small Business folks are very helpful. There is also a program in some areas called SHINE. It is usually made up of retired business people who will help you with setting up your business. Local community colleges also have business info through the continuing education programs for adults.

Hope that helps, even though it's a month later.

Glad I could help. Hubby used them when he had his own business. Make sure you check out what is available for women. There are several organizations that help women start their own businesses. I don't know the names of them but the Better Business Bureau could possibly help.
