{{{{{ Tala }}}}} Well you can see we can be supportive. Sometimes our families will put up with our diets for awhile but then they get tired of it... like we do but we know we have to hang in there for us! You are important! It helps to come in here and mark your progress. I know it helps to keep me motivated. Also helps to vent when we have let ourselves down. lol So welcome to the boards! See you in WS. |

Maybe the place to start is to stop considering a healthy way of eating a "diet" or "going on or staying on a diet."
Find a healthy way of eating, and commit to eating like that and living like that for the rest of your life. If you consider it a temporary diet for a temporary fix, I think you're bound to suffer setbacks or even failure.

Oh absolutely, life style change is important. And we did here with the no/low fat eating. And you are right Liam! It isn't a short term or quick fix. It is a commitment to better health. Was just remembering how I looked at diets years ago when I had to lose the winter weight. 5 - 10 lbs. And at that time for me it was a quick fix thing. No longer... now Mr. and I have changed our outlook on food. My cupboards and refrigerator food has drastically changed since March of this year. Oh I went off supplement.. not good for those who have anxiety.. gosh remember to read the tiny tiny print. And I have lost another pound. 24 now! woohoo.

Well I back here.. to lose more weight. After son and family came up in July I kinda lost myself again. Soooo ... every week will be the weigh in.
And I gained back 5 pounds during the Nov. to Dec. holidays. Golly, the things we do to ourselves.

I eat only once per day and I eat only vegetables or fruit. With this method I lost 25KG in two years. I know this is an unhealthy method, but I think it was worth it.
