LOL LF, the teacher did ask for volunteers but no one was willing. I think all the good cadavers go to the medical schools not the community colleges. We should do something about that.

back to school AGAIN
Long time no speak
I'm here........... and i'm so busy. I have started working on my computer courses. Challenged the first course last December....... and am now doing Java Programming course work. Hopefully when i'm done all this i'll have a CIS certificate behind me and be able to get more seriously involved in the educational multimedia I am wanting to learn. I have given myself 36 months to complete all courses I need for the program I am interested in. I'm doing all of this through work so its slow because I have little time to study but i'm still managing to get things done and done well. It is possible ladies...... we just have to put our minds to it! <font color=red>

Just an idea
Hi, Just an idea. When it comes to writing an essay and using something as a symbol like for a person from China, you could say that the banana is full and ripe of opportunities in America whereas in its' own country it would be a blackened wilted banana because of all the limited possiblilities there are offered for that person. I do so hope to return to college yet it seems that I am going to have to wait until I learn my computer better and I have the money for it. Just remember that if you need some help, I offer to read your papers and give you an honest opinion. I know how hard English is since I graduated from High School not knowing how to write an essay with a passing grade. I returned to school thru college took the college tests that said I could take the course I wanted for English. Found out that the test doesnt tell you the weaknesses you have. I ended up taking two classes lower in remedial English to get me to where the tests said I was originally at. Good Luck Hope that this helps anyone reading it.

Postgraduate Study
Is anyone else here doing postgraduate study currently?
I'm completing a computer-related PhD part-time at one university whilst teaching postgraduate distance education courses in Health Informatics for health professionals at another. It's certainly interesting and challenging. But it's also a lot of work and quite difficult to find a balance between work/study and home. Anyone have ideas for how to handle the work/study juggling act? |

Though I don't have the same situation as you, jagguar, I do work full-time, have a part-time job teaching fitness classes, and am preparing to go back to grad school for another Masters (I have one in sociology, but want to return to my original career in social work). It's definitely a juggling act, as you've said, but I find it most manageable by devsing a schedule, on a weekly basis, and sticking to it religiously. I'm always sure, though, to include some "empty" downtime for me and time to spend with friends, family, etc. Even if that means only a 2-hour interval on Friday night and maybe another over the weekend, it works. I also post calendars in my most-frequented areas so that I'm always clear about where I stand and what I need to spare energy for.
So, for me, being organized but not so regimented that it makes me miserable is the key. After all, though we clearly want to earn whatever degree we're working for, it's not worth losing all of your todays over! FitChik |

((((( Jagguar FitChik )))) Well I have no clue or advice to offer. But wanted to share my news. Today I finally completed doing the Fafsa forms online. I hope in time to be furthering my education and obtaining my degree.
I know that having a balance and time for everything is important not to get brain fried. Wish all of you the best of Luck. Have a great day!

Hello (((((((Roomies WOW's))))))) Just to let you know I received my info from the FAFSA. Which lets the college of my choice know as well as myself what I am able to receive which is nada. So disappointed in this. Also side note: the state I live in now has a new policy if non-custodial parent doesnt pay child collection fee custodial parent does. So its a double whammy here. Very disappointed in things as of late. I hope all of you are doing better.
Have a great day!

Also another bit to add to previous post of mine. The people who were "helping" me forgot to let me know that there were deadlines on submitting forms and etc. Hence the "help" has set me back to wait a whole year. Lovely isnt it? Gee this kind of "help" I could do without. I hope all of you are doing well.
Have a great day!

I am taking a at home class for childrens writing. It will help me become a better writter and help me to publish a book. Also if I were to go to collage it can be used as a credit. So I am realy excited about it. I am just finishing up my first assignment. I still have to write a short intro about me. That shouldn't be to hard. I hope this works out well as it is something I realy want to do.
