Strange looks? - Page 2

People thought I was nuts when I met my husband over the phone. It worked for us though, and that is what is important! I am not a very outgoing girl in the world and am uncertain as to how to make solid relationships that last with other women. So I have come here and hoping, like most of you, that I can make some lasting relationships here that mean a great deal to me. Sunshine.

I also met my best friend online a few years back, and this past Febuary I married him. Talk about strange looks when I tell people where and how we met. We knew each other so well by the time we finally met in person, it was like coming home. No awkward moments like when you meet people in person, you get to know the person from the inside out, instead of outside in.

I met my partner online. My adoptive moms, friends and family were always telling me " be careful who you chat to on line, there are lots of weirdos out there." They still warn me but they say Boo is the best person in the world. Go figure LOL.

I also met my best friend online. Unfortunately, the distance between Florida and Newfoundland limits our 3-D time together. But, I have a great calling plan on my cell phone. Last month we talked for about 1200 minutes. We met face to face last May and it was wonderful. She was going to visit me this fall, but made a really smart move and bought a house. So, Greg and I are planning to go up there in July for 2 weeks. Part of the time we will help out by building some basic furniture for her and the rest of the time we will hang out and see the sights. I can't wait!
