Mana
Actually, there should be an accent over the second a, but I don't know how to do that.
Anyhow....... Has anyone heard of this rock band out of Mexico? they've been around for a long time, and they don't play "hat-dance" music - they do rock, pero en espanol! I have 8 CDs, and they do the kind of music I love, but in Spanish. The bands that they loved growing up were the Stones, Led Zeppelin, and the Police, and when you listen to their music you can hear the influence these bands had on them. Go into youtube Mana, and there's concert footage that I think you'd really like - even if you don't know Spanish. Since we're world-wide, it would be fun to hear from some Latinas, because I know they know this band! Check them out. Jennifer |

Deepthi, thanks for checking out Mana! They are a wonderful band and this week set the record for most sold out concerts at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is so cool that my band from Mexico set a record in an American city! Hopefully you'll youtube some of their other songs. Even though you don't understand the words, their music is soooooo good!

Wolfie, the first song you should check out is "Vivir Sin Aire" (Living Without Air). I think that's their prettiest song . . . . even if you don't get the words. LOL!

To all my friends here, please check this band out. You may not understand Spanish, but you'll love their tunes. They are the Mexican Beatles. They've sold more records than any other Latino rock band in history, including Santana. Just youtube Mana and listen.

Mana was thinking about doing some songs in English, so they contacted their friends from a well known English band and asked them if they should. The guys from Coldplay said no. They told Mana to stick with what's working because people all over the world dig their music the way it is.
