So this is a first for me. I've never shared this side of my poetry before.

From the depths of hell he reaches out
to corrupt all those with doubt.
He pulls them in and drownds them under,
the souls of thousands he does plunder.

Not caring where the darkness lies
as long as he sees it in their eyes.

He damns them, damns them into the abyss
where fires rage and serpents hiss.
They twist with torment from hour to hour
knowing they've lost all power.

Not caring where the darkness lies
as long as he sees it in their eyes.

Syn, that's really good! I read it twice and liked it even better the second time. I wrote one for class in 10th grade and our teacher told the other kids to read it and tell everyone what the meaning behind it was. They all had different ideas about what I was saying, but in truth . . . it was nonsense. Here it is, if I can remember:

Is like the stream a thought of when
or who the tree will there;
maybe not a knot or two,
or why the what will stare.

The rain will reign or live in time
and love the silent cub;
The Sun the same or ban the can
and knight the Kingdom dub.

Well, I was in 10th grade! I do like my knight the Kingdom dub line though.

Yeah, I'd have to say that's probably the best line. It's not bad for nonsense. That's one thing I love about poetry, two people can read the same poem and it can be a completely different experience for both.

the puppeteer

I just went through something really emotional, and im not the kind of person to write poems at every tear shed i used to actually try to imitate dr. seus books with it's happy whimsical tone but idk why this time i just felt i had to write my it all out. Hope you guys like it.

To be utterly, completely, wholeheartedly mine
To destroy, remold, influence and refine
You refuse to comprehend
my thoughts to hell you send
My dear doll of mud and clay
The puppeteer's string instead you play
Like water on rocks, my definition erodes
Once a grip so strong, now where do I hold?
Recklessly I pedal off my stool
Becoming the pawn to a smart fool
Trying to regain my hands and cut my 'claim'
or at least follow resistancelessly to pain

The crazy world spins
Sometime it seems like you can not win.
Down but never out
That is what life is about.
Every day a new lesson learned
Always hoping that your heart will not get burned.
Some things are tragic
Others may be magic.
Take the time out to see what is new
The world if you look has a great view.
Never give up hope.
