Hey, ladies, let's see about bringing back the old days. Now that I've been laid off, I have a little time to post here, so let's see what happens.

As far as crafts, I am finally able to set up my office/studio again in my fourth room (long story), and discovered a huge Rubbermade container full of yarn for knitting. Yay! Scarves and blankets for everyone in the family for Christmas!

I've gotten back into knitting, making candles, etc, mainly so that I can make stuff for Christmas presents, as well as trying to sell stuff on ebay. I've got left-over candle wax (so, hence making candles, rather that throwing out the wax), and tons of yarn. Back to work.

I have just painted shells in rainbow colours to brighten up my porch in horrible winter weather days. I am also working on a sweater dress that has a ridiculously complicated cable pattern on the front and sleeves. One of my daughters saw it the other day and I explained that it had taken me a whole evening to do a few inches. Her response? Well you might have it for next winter. No,no,no! It WILL be ready to wear for Boxing day this year. We have a family get together each year on that day!

I love the idea of the painted shells, Etherea! Also, the fact that you're determined to have the sweater dress ready to wear for Boxing Day. I've made scarves that had cable patterns on them (I usually make up the patterns for each scarf) and a few blankets. I love the way cables look.
