I just hope they all get emails like did! Rjs good to see ya Hon. Without chat not many come on. 1 lady was going to try and get a chat room for us but stuff happened and I haven't been able to check with anyone. Haven't seen a wow in here in a very long time. I contacted Irish when I found out Focus passed away as we were Facebook friends.

Wow, I hadn't heard about Focus. Since you're on Facebook, I'll PM you here so maybe we can connect on FB.

Focus
Sorry to hear that Focus has passed. I stayed at her home one night when visiting the USA, she lived in Lodi, California, and was kind enough to drive me to visit another friend further north. Remember the good old days of WritersChat? ScribeWOW is still around, and Focus’s daughter married and settled in NZ if I recall correctly. I wonder if she is still there? Funny, I remember Focus’s first real name, but not her last name, one of the problems of using these nicknames all the time! I think to get things going again, you really need a phone app, or mailing list, or a Facebook group that people are able to access easily and regularly.

FocusWOW tribute
Found her tribute page:
https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/lo...&pid=155870397 So loved what Focus did with WritersChat all those years ago, for not only helping develop writing skills, but develop people’s friendships online. |

Thank you for sharing that info! I too miss the old days and this site has almost become a tomb with mostly voices of the past. So little activity and oddly I didn't get an email of a new post. A few have had some ideas of how to bring it back but so far nothing.
I haven't seen a WOW in here in forever. So, so sad. The advice and friendships were lovely.

I agree, Crazymomma, the advice and friendships were wonderful. It is definitely sad. |

Yeah no one comes on much now that there’s no chat. No even the WOWS! Well, happy birthday

Well, we're starting to get a few posts here, crazymomma. I'll keep trying...We'll also need to try touching base again on FB.

I would like to have somewhere to just chat about stuff. My head has been up my arse for far too long. Oh! I don't know if that particular phrase is known outside of the Uk. Now there's a talking point!

LOL! Trust me, etherea, we're familiar in the States about having one's head up one's arse...I think we've all done that on occasion. It's one of those phrases that seem to mean the same thing on both sides of the "pond."
