It's good that you can feel her with you (((gsf))). I feel that my dad, who has been gone for 11 years, has his hand in lots of things that have gone on in my family since his death. It's a comfort to us for sure. My best to you and your family.

(((gsf))) that is the way I feel about my dad also. He passed on May5,1993. and in 11 years I too feel him so many ways. Remember her this day with love and joy. The pain will not be so bad in time. Happy birthday to her.

gsf you seem like a VERY kind person! I was in Florida, gsf, and then we headed north. I spent 2 nights camping at Disney World (I love it there) and then 3 nights with my son, daughter in law and 17 month old grandson in North Carolina, and finally arrived in the state of Kentucky, where I live and where all my family is.

Thank you crazymomma. It WAS a great trip, except for when we backed into our campsite at Wilderness Campground, and I unlocked the door to the little camping trailer, then laid the ONLY set of keys right inside the open camper door and returned to the car to fetch some gear, and returned to find the door had blown shut and LOCKED itself. Whew that was a long sentence AND a long wait for a AAA locksmith. There was the Magic Kingdom and all it's glory waiting while we sat forlornly at a picnic table WAITING.

I am back from my trip to Newfoundland. It was too wonderful for words. This Florida girl saw snow, sleet and felt windchills in the 20's for the first time in over 20 years! Yes, I did enjoy the weather, but ya'll should know by now that I'm half a bubble off plumb.
It was like the exact opposite of Florida. Real trees; huge rocks on the coast instead of sand dunes; rocks and dark, gritty sand instead of pure white sand on the beach and on and on. If I had my druthers, I don't think I would have left! My only funny/ridiculous stories had to do with the inconsistancies in the Transportation Safety Administration. The almost did not let me reenter the US!!! At one check point, I had to take a drink out of the bottle of water I had to prove there was nothing wrong with it!!! Another checkpoint made me open my medicine bag and show them what was in it. That one annoyed the he** out of me. Another one had me take off my coat, boots, belt, and jewelry! One time I had to open my carry on and show them that I had prescriptions for all 15 medications I take. They really questioned me about the codiene and hydrocodone! I almost made a joke about finally knowing if they left a pair of scissors in me after my last surgery, but thought better of it! Oh, and they lost my luggage on the way home (I got it back) It's good to be home, though. But, I think I would go again tomorrow if I could!
