Liam, I have a very dim recollection of that show. But that too had quite a cast if I remember correctly, didn't it? Fisher Stevens? Was that a David E. Kelly show too?

btw.. in the interest of not leading anyone astray..

I do think of Poland as a Northern Exposure type show but nothing can ever be Northern Exposure again. (moment of silence<g>) I do see it fitting into that sort of category though. I think "Ed" goes in there too although I don't love Ed the way I loved Northern Exposure. The quirky characters of Poland are starting to develop but I don't think we'll be seeing an Anthony Edwards "Bubble Boy" type of thing. Although, that sort of signaled the end of Northern Exposure I think, so maybe it's a good thing.<g>

hey! They should release Northern Exposure on DVD!!! I'd buy it! But then, I buy way too many DVDs.<g>

OH...now I know why I missed it recently. Karen Sisko takes priority with RemoteControlBoy!

Don't worry, Addie, I'll "misplace" that remote next Wednesday.

((((((Addie))))))))) Omgosh.....someone else who loved Northern Exposure as much as I! My sweetie thinks I was weird to love such a show but could you imagine if we had a chance to go back and live in simpler times? What a wonderful experience it'd be.
Have a great day!

But they *weren't* "back in simpler times." It was modern times, just in an Alaskan town.

Have you all seen this site? When Addie mentioned Bubble Boy signaling the end of Northern Exposure I thought of it. It's http://www.jumptheshark.com/page.htm , if you haven't seen it, it's interesting.

My favorite OC exchange last night:

Ryan: Sometimes I think you talk just to make sounds.
Seth: Well, sometimes I do.
