((((Les)))) When I talk to Els on the phone, Thomas pesters her, yelling, "Ahma! Ahma! <u>Ear</u>!" That means, "I wish to speak with my grandmother, so please put the phone to my ear." <G>

{{{{{Les}}}}} I'm happy to be telecommuting today. All the same, I'm grumpy, because those itty bitty wasps that seem to show up annually are back, and one tagged me in my sleep *twice* last night. I have two *huge* welts on my inner knee and lower leg, worthy of real wasp stings, but I didn't even feel them happen. (For once I slept soundly!) I'd seen two of the critters, but had only managed to smash one, so the other one must have got me - in my own bed! Grrrrr! Needless to say, the sting-marks are hot to the touch, hard, raised, red, and itchy, but they must not be life-threatening or I wouldn't be here to...er...complain about them. I hope there aren't any more mini-wasps, but that's a vain hope, I'm afraid. <p>
To top it off, I'm having the inevitable ant invasion, which I'm barely staying ahead of with those Grant's Ants bait things, and there are also itsy bitsy spiders occasionally running amok. (At least I'm getting miniature versions of the bugs to go with my miniature condo. :-/ ) If I weren't so worried I'd poision all my food, plates, etc., I'd get a fogger, take Ozzy to a friend's house (Dave and Nadine's) for an afternoon, and fog this place till all the dern bugs went right straight where they belong. I'm going buggy, I tell ya!

:-) {{{Lou}}} And I loved the Thomas story. :-)
{{{biker}}} Ortho Home Defense...the guy at Home Depot told me, "It will kill anything with more than four legs." ;-) And it does! Sorry I haven't been around a lot. I'm down with a bad back...I guess I'm just getting old...

Happy 4th of July {{{{{Les and Friends}}}}}<p>
It's hot here, but that seems appropriate. It's humid, too, so I'm a little droopy today. I'm enjoying the day off, and BBQ'd a burger and a Hebrew National weiner, as well as watched the Huntington Beach parade on tv. I'm supposed to be at a BBQ right now. I *might* put in an appearance after it cools off a bit. Then, I think I'll watch fireworks off my hill - I can see the displays from several near-by cities from my hill, and since I have to get up early for work tomorrow, that sounds like more fun than driving to a fireworks show. Hope everybody's having a nice Indepencence Day!
