<B>{{{{{{{Les and FolderFriends}}}}}}}}</B>
I am back from Ohio and a wonderful month with the kids and Caiden! {{{Lou}}} The pictures of Thomas are soooo great! What a cutie! When I can remember how to post an image reference I'll send you to pics of Caiden that I took while there. Isn't this age a delight?? Happy belated birthdays go to all the birthday gals! HOT is what it is here too! I so enjoyed the Ohio weather, cool breezy mornings to sit out on the swing with my coffee and Caiden, afternoons of sun and wading pool fun, and evenings of playing his current passion, baseball! Now it's time to start planning another school year with a new position! I am excited! Did I say that's it's one of my real pleasures to read in this folder and communicate with you FAB women? Thanks {{{Les}} for being the gracious host here!!!! |

Oh, poor {{{{Nova}}}} Have you had a root canal before? Is it a top tooth or bottom tooth? (It makes a difference, I think...) It's not the worst thing in the world to have a root canal, though, if you haven't had one. Good luck to you! And thanks for stopping by and saying such nice things. :-)
{{{{Lou}}}} Hi! Thanks always for the colorful hugs and just for being there all the time...you are one cool woman. {{{{mysterre}}}} I love your hair! I had mine cut very short once, and I remember the reactions ranged from, "I'm not even going to ask" to "I love it!" to "You look like an Auschwitz survivor." Bizarre. People really feel compelled to share their feelings sometimes, and you'd just like to slap 'em. {{{{{Friends}}}}}} Hope your Wednesday is going very, very well.

((((mysterre)))) As I have said, and will say again in front of the world that passes through here--with that gorgeous face, you don't even need hair!!
((((*Star*)))) Hi!! Boo to the bad tooth. If you post Caiden's pictures elsewhere, just paste the url in here, and it will automatically become a link. Yep, two is a cool age. Thomas' "no" is firm and matter-of-fact--not a screech or a defense. But he sometimes gets caught up in saying it, as if it's his job. Last Friday, for example, his mommy and papi woke him by asking, "Thomas, want to go see Shamu?" He said, "No." Thomas, want to go see the dolphins?" He said, "No." This went on and on until Thomas was rolling in his crib, laughing hysterically, and saying "No" when he <u>knew</u> it was so wrong. LOL! ((((Les)))) If I shaved my head, people would stop talking to me at all, thinking that I had cancer.

first off...{{{{{{{nova}}}}}}}. les is right, though, root canals aren't so bad. plus, they make the painful tooth go away. <g>
now, with regard to funny things young children say: today, a friend of mine shared what i thought was a hysterical story about his son, who's about a year and five months old. he prefaced the story by saying that his son is now at that age where you can tell him to say something, and he will repeat it without question. so... last night, their family was getting ready to have dinner when the wee boy, wanting a banana, went over to his mother and began asking for his "nana." "no," replied mom. "you can't have a banana now because we're going to eat dinner." dejected, the young lad toddled over to his dad (my friend) and started that half-crying, plaintive whine for the precious banana that his mother had denied him. now, because my friend is inherently evil but wickedly funny, he whispered in his son's ear..."go over to mama and say..." so, the boy waddled back to his mother, tugged on her pants and looked up at her. she looked back down at him. "yes, matthew?" she said. and with a beaming, sweet face he looked up at her and said flatly, "judas." the end. ROFL. i laughed and laughed and laughed when i heard that story. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{everybody}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} |

It is art festival time in Laguna Beach, so on Friday, Thomas and I are going to the Sawdust, which is exactly as its name implies: art in a sawdust-strewn eucalyptus grove. Of course, we are each bringing our mommy, but we consider this <u>our</u> day.

{{{{{{Les 'n Friends}}}}}}}
Thanks for the encouraging words about the root canal tomorrow. It is a top tooth, a bicuspid, which has a deep filling in it already. And no, I have never had a root canal. My next question... I have to go to Austin on Sunday for a 4 day conference for school. am I gonna be AOK to do that. The timing stinks, but I can't get out of this conference! A good painkiller may make the conference more interesting!!! {{Lou}} {{vicki}} I can't tell you all the times I laughed at things Caiden would say, all so precious! Last night his mommy called while he was taking his bath, she being on the cordless right there with him. I heard him yell, "potty", and so he jumped out of the tub, sat down on the potty chair, and she gave him the phone. We had quite a discussion, but no action on the potty chair. I think he just wanted a comfortable place to talk to his "Bonna". (His name for me) Have a great Thursday {{{All}}} |

{{{{Nova}}}} I emailed you, but I'll post here, too. Upper teeth are SO MUCH EASIER. Each tooth has its own nerve and it's easy to numb up completely. Bottom teeth, you have to depend on that buccal nerve that is sort of hit and miss. My experience (and sadly, I have some) is that upper root canals are far less bothersome.
and I don't think Sunday should be a problem, either. Good luck, friend! {{{{Lou}}}} Have fun at the sawdust art fair with Thomas! What fun. :-)

Thanks {{{Les}}} for the Email. I feel so much better with that info. Two hours from now I shall know.
One of my first projects for my new job is to create and print business cards for all the teachers. Anyone recommend a good application for doing this?? Can be Mac or Windoze. <G> Great weekend to {{{All}}} |

I think there's a Word template that does business cards. Usually, if you buy the Avery business card stock, it tells you where and how to find the templates. We might have one here, too, if you can't find one. Let me know {{{Nova}}}!
{{{roo}}} I plan on just that. :-) Have fun fly-fishing!
