{{{{{Moonie}}}}} In light of what I've posted elsewhere, you'll be relieved to know that I did *not* think of you when Mir splashed down! ROFL!!! <p>
I was, however, relieved that it ditched in the ocean and *not* on NZ, Fiji, or any other land. It was nice to see that Mir's end was a dignified end, and that no one got hurt.

((((Moon)))) You know, when I sent you that first email from work, I kept wondering if you were away, as I didn't get a reply. Should have figured I sent it to the wrong place! LOL
Well, we had a brief spring, and now, sadly, lots of snow. :-( Tuesday and Wednesday were beautiful, Thursday & Friday (my days off) were awful! We had about 6 inches of snow Thursday night, and a couple last night, and guess what? Yes, it's true! It's snowing again now. The good thing is, this is a very short week for me, I work Sat, Sun & Monday, then I have Tuesday & Wednesday off. I haven't had the same days off as Sue in 2 weeks, it's hard to get used to. Hope you have a fabulous weekend, how long is Tod home? |

We loaded up furniture in Tod's rented truck and he and Sean headed back to NC. Sean will fly back tomorrow on one of the last flights before Comair goes on strike at midnight tomorrow. We had FUN though on the brief visit! (((mysterre)))

{{{{{Moon}}}}}<p>
I've never seen a launch, although I'm dying to catch one sometime. My parents were in Florida for a shuttle launch years ago - I still have the picture they sent. They were about 50 miles away, so the shuttle is about a half-inch tall with a fiery tail in the picture.<p> When my sister worked for McDonnell Douglas, they sent her to Titusville, FL to work on a computer project for a few weeks. One morning, when she got to the office, everyone was grinning, and they asked her how she'd liked the launch in the middle of the night - a Titan, I believe it was. "What launch?" she asked in confusion. They replied, "The big rocket that roared and shook the ground - you know." Well, she had slept right through it, and was miffed no one had told her ahead of time. Come to find out, it was a favorite trick to pull on newbies - let them be awakened by the deafining roar of a launch. My sister had lived right by St. Louis airport for so long that she was accustomed to sleeping through rather loud airliner takeoffs and landings. When the Mac guys found that out, they were really sorry they hadn't told her. She was *not* pleased to have missed the launch!<p> On the same trip, she went into the hotel bar in a rainstorm, wearing her very proper office clothes. The only other customer was a rather tough-looking guy in a Harley shirt. She walked up to him, and to the shock and consternation of the 2 female bartenders, asked him, "Do you ride a Harley or do you just have the shirt?" <g> The bartenders actually *hid,* as I recall the story. The guy replied that he did indeed ride, and was waiting out the rainstorm in the bar. They got to talking, and she quizzed him about any local Harley shops. He was happy to tell her, and in a week or so, I received a Harley shirt with the Titusville shop logo on the back! I thought (and still think) that my sister is SO cool! :-)<p> Glad to hear you had a good time with your boys, and that you're taking an evening off. I predict that you will, indeed, come to call your cabin Home. <g> Have a nice, relaxing evening.
