{{{{{Lou}}}}} Clapton! One of my favorites!

I've been in an oldies mood lately. Although, how "my" music became "oldies," I'll never know. ;-)
I dug out Cat Stevens and it was so wonderful!!! I find it fascinating that without a list, I can't remember what I'm doing at the grocery store, but I can remember every word to every song on Tea for the Tillerman. What's that about short term memory? ;-)

Well, right now I am listening to Nelly Furtado. My bosses dog ate the CD cover all around the edges..thank gawd the CD survived..LOL

She's hard to define. French Canadian, isn't she?
Definately her own distinct sound. I like her. She was just on Letterman the other night. Saw her on SNL, I liked her. Not what I normally listen to, if I have a normal. ;-)

I've played the Sade twice so far, and am not massively taken with it. I think I prefer her old work.

Right now? I'm listening to Eric Clapton Slowhand

India.Arie a new voice with the right message

India sings:
I'm not the average girl from your video
And I ain't built like no supermodel
But I learned to love myself undcoditionally
Because I am a Queen

I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be
INDIA.ARIE

These are th positive words from India.Arie's new song "Video". Not only am I trying to get the word out about this strong female artist. I'm also trying to find people to help me support India!

Below is a sample of "Video". If it moves you, please consider joining her online street team. Feel welcome to contact me for more info on India and the team at india.arie@electricartists.com.

Yours With Strength, Courage and Wisdom,
Krista

I have to agree with you, Q-W. The Sade is not nearly as phenomenol as her previous. But there are at least 4 good songs on this one. And two others than are okay..and the others I was not thrilled with at all. I skip right over them. But you do have to listen to them to get them to grow on you.

I found the coolest thing on the web yesterday...

I used to be (and still am to some extent) a huge Lou Reed fan, and there was a little snippet of music on a website that was included only on the 8-track version of Berlin. It was downloadable as an .au file, and very neat to hear!
