I to would love to lose weight. I have a food addiction. Its not that I eat bad food.. its that I love to eat good food.

Time, work and food is just not the only issue with me for a diet. Exrcising right now is a major issue. Its been 2 months since surgery. I am still trying to walk. At home I only walked 2 blocks, and I thought that was something. Last weekend, I walked a small indoor mall!! Now that I know what to expect after a major walk, I am going to try this two times a week.

Ok, now for the facts. I want to lose 69 lbs. My cholesterol level was at 281, at last blood check.

Now, I have to create a diet to include foods that are fun to eat but do not have vit k in them or salt.

I will check in later in the week to create another report.

((((((ChristyRose))))) good luck I step at a time. Surgery takes a lot out of you. So you do it one step at a time. You will find yourself taking more, not even realizing that you are. You go girl!!

((((((Addie))))), thanks

The wedding was phenomenal. They had an Irish Blessing read by my niece.. and a Apache Blessing read by the JP who is part Apache.
The Bride was breathtakenly beautiful,( We had never seen the bride with makeup, she was always a pretty girl. The makeup enhanced the pretty to beautiful) the Groom was a happy, handsome guy completely taken by his bride. Kept saying, "GeeGee,isn't she beautiful."
loved it. They were both so Happy that it was infectious.

We had a wonderful time. The thing that amazed me about me was I didn't get out of breath dancing. ONce they opened the floor we were the first ones on and the last ones off Got lots of exercise The food was very tastily done even being a buffet.

Maintained the diet mode without realizing it. One serving of roast beef, roast potatoes, carrots. stayed away from the pasta and desserts. One glass of red wine and lots of ice water. Lots of dancing.

Did get my hair and nails done and felt very good about myself. That is an important part of sticking with this a sense of accepting me for me.

My sister looked beautiful she had a stunning outfit on. She was so happy for her son.

My son and younger daughter were there with us. I did get to dance with my son. daughter got to dance with dad that was great too.

((((( Christyrose, Addy, Appletree))))) thanks for all the support. ((((( extra hugs ))))

Well Irish I am so glad your back from the wedding. Irish weddings are very close to Polish weddings. Its a whole week of either a party or laying down because you party to much. From what you posted, it was a very wonderful wedding and your diet did not interfer with being able to have a good time.

Question here, have you noticed a difference with the ice water? Has it helped you any?

I was not able to walk yesterday. So I ended up taking a nap at 10 am and waking up at noon. So for exercise yesterday my goal was to redo the closets and get rid of the suitcases. I was still living out of the suitcases since I left the truck in August. It took me six hours, with many breaks. I would have been better off walking!
Breakfest was coffee and whole grain toast. No lunch was not hungry. Dinner salad/with lite dressing 5 oz of fish grilled w/green beams. desert cut up apple I was able to drink about 5 glasses of water.

Hi all, wtg Christy, and so glad you had a good time at the wedding irish, sounds lovely.

Is anyone else getting advertisements for weight loss products pop up when they come into this folder? Just curious......

Could there be something on my puter causing them to come up, or is it somethng programmed into the WOW site?

okay I am a diet wussy...I cannot go on one because I cheat badly, but I have decided I will not eat anything after dinner and I will only drink water. I think I may be able to handle that much of a commitment without cheating.. The hubby is doing this also. So hopefully we will be able to police each other. But just in case I can't take it pray for his safety if he tries to take a snack away from me. thanks

There are no ads in WOW, so I can't imagine why that would be happening, susie. Weird!

There is a myth about drinking water and how much water to drink. At one time Doctors stated at least 8 glasses of water per day. Now as in the past, 8 glass of water a day for some they would drown from it. Eight glasses of water, plus your milk, coffee or any other beverage you choose to drink.
You own body makes demands as to how much water you actually need per day. Have you ever gotten to the point that no matter how much you drank you still need more? Or that last glass of water sends you running to the bathroom? Your body will hold water till it realizes that you will no longer deny the body water, and start releasing excesive water. So for some, six glasses of water is just maintence and the seventh glass is the natural water pill. When this release happens, we are now losing water weight. Water weight loss can be up to the first 25 lbs. Depends on the person. For some the water weight loss is only five lbs. My largest water weight loss was 30 lbs. Afterward it was the body fat. Sometimes from my own experence, this where I slowed down in losing weight or stopping completely.
Now the question of what kind of water to drink. Bottled w/no sodium or tap water is just fine. The water needs to be ice cold, with or with out ice. Reason is the coldness numbs the stomach. This is a trick to make the stomach think its full. Sometimes I just cannot handle another glass of water. I will add to it, a lemon, slice of pineapple or a touch of fruit flavoring like cherry. I have been know to cheat to, I do not eat sweets at all, and there are times I crave sugar. I will add a pinch of sugar to my water.
I will not drink water after 5 pm or 6 pm, if I do I end up waking up in the middle of the night running to the bathroom.
I hope this helps, once you find how much water your body needs the rest will come easy. There is no demand to drink 8 glasses a day, because we are all different in our needs for water. Your body will let you know once you start drinking cold water with your diet.
