(((((Sabra )))))) Some days do suck! (((((Sabra's dad ))))))
Yes, there are days that I talk to God, and whoever else is listening... sometimes I think they shut their hearing aides off like my hubby does.
Agreeing that "Spirituality" comes from within. Sometimes you can feel it. Other times I think we ( or I) tune it out.
"Religion" well that is different.. I attend church sometimes it helps me feel better more in tune with what is going on... Does it make me a better person? NO, absolutely not.. Some people who never have gone to church live a better life than I do.. That's life. That's fine.
Me, I believe someone's "Spirituality is better than Religion" because they choose to life the way it should be IMHO.

my spiritual self

It has been a very long time since I've posted. My father has died, May 16th 2004 and it's now February 24th, 2006.

For awhile, my spiritual self was set aside for a multitude of things and I was not a happy woman. I'm back, nurturing my spirits and much happier and more at peace.

I have decided, never again will I deny my inner voice, my spirits, myself.

Sabra,

I'm sorry about your father. Lots of hugs and long woodland walks in the sunshine.

Thanks to all of you and many hugs. Sometimes where you find the most comfort, solace, acceptance you avoid. Maybe out of being busy, less time, other things get in the way, but I thank you all from the bottom of my heart

I am a Cristian. I was raised as a Lutheran. But, since my divorce in 2005, I almost forgot how to pray. I do believe in god. But I guess I have anger issues. I used to beg him for help when my husband was beating me. I just firgured he didn't have time for me. But right now, I have been interested in my native spiritual side. As a matter of fact, I just received my native name and colors. "Asin Ekwe" it means White Stone Woman. My colors are white, light blue, teal green and tan( color of sand). Sometimes it scares me that I don't pray as I did. But is it good enough that I still believe?

Of course its good that u still believe....and u shouldn't feel that God does not have time for you he ALWAYS has time, your always in his mind and heart you ARE his child! but sometimes even your own children have to learn to make their own mistakes and know how to either fix them or get away from them its a process to make u stronger! and even though what you went trough with ur husband was horrible i believe it was a test of faith...TRUST ME he was right there crying with you waiting for you to b strong enough to do something about it on your own...I hope this helps! i cant tell you how much u should pray or how u should feel but hopefully this helped u figure it out! MANY HUGS!!!

"God" is in us...IS us...everyone of us...

Hello sisters. My name is Kelly, and I just joined this afternoon. The very first thing I did was seek out a group like this, as I'm interested in knowing where "God" is spending time lately. For me, I am God. You are God. We are God. God is not a male deity who lives somewhere up in the sky in a place called heaven. "God" is the word used to label the energy that we are created of, and exist as. God dwells in us, as love, as power, as forgiveness, as creation...God is not an entity that will judge us...we will judge ourselves. And those who do evil, will judge themselves as evil...those who do good, will judge themselves as good, those who do evil but think they are good will forgive themselves and judge themselves as good, those who think they are good but do evil will forgive themselves and judge themselves as good.....the key to this is realizing that if we knew better, we would do better. One may know right from wrong, but not the route to take to bridge the gap of doing wright or wrong...and as for Jesus, first "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..." poo poo. God didn't "give", Jesus volunteered. And Jesus never was able to share with everyone everything he knew, perhaps with Mary, which is why she was so despised by the rest of his disciples...and Jesus says He is the way, and He is...He knew the secret of the energy he contained, he knew we are all God, he definitely had the ability to think with more than just 5% of his brain, hence the ability to resurrect himself...All of this is pure conjecture, however, and I'm sure I will weave back and forth on my journey to claiming a belief system, but the point is, I'm searching, you're searching, or we wouldn't be here, and if what the law of attraction says is correct, the Truth will find us and set us free. Namaste <3
