That's a great site, thanks, bagelgirl, and a hearty welcome!

Greg and I subscribed to Fine Woodworking for about 2 years and bought several of their specialty books. They will give you great references on how to do things with wood.

Before Greg and I married, my ex was inept at anything that needed fixed and then I had a several years as a single parent. I had two general house hold repair books that I found at a yard sale & a library sale. So, I'm pretty much a do it yourselfer. Greg is a Master Carpenter and has years of experience in construction, so he is my reference book now!

Sounds like you have an excellent reference book Brede.
Your ex was inept? Wonder if he was any relation to mine?
I will never forget the day he struggled half an hour with getting a nail thru a piece of wood to initate putting a screw in it to hang a coffee cup holder on the wall. I lost site of my patience as it left the room, I took the hammer and nail off him, whacked the nail in took it out and listened to his jaw hit the floor as I left the room, I mean come on!!

TOOLS FOR WOMEN!

I didn't think I would find so many women who are interested in home repair/remodel like me. My secret is tools made just for women. There is a company that makes tools designed for women. www.tomboytools.com They even have a pink hammer! They are fabulous.

I'm with Cod. No point in making pink hammers.

Pink Hammers, are we changing the colors on other tools too.

Does it have the same grade of toughness? Is it easier to handle? I would probably still hit my thumb. <G>

Do they work better being pink? Why does a tool have to pink or blue? Does it really matter?

Ahhh! Maybe to some. Good luck with your business.

Talking Pink? Blue? Black?

Well that is interesting. The only thing good is that its a hammer. The color though to deter men from using it would be pink. Yet if it was blue forget it. Now I prefer a black one due to getting dirty grubby hands using it. It would turn black.
Good idea for those who love pink though.

Have a great day!

Wink Pink Hammers

The reason they made it pink was because it benefits breast cancer research and that is the Komen foundations color. I appreciate the replies though. Besides pink is the new black.

Okay, NOW I could get into wielding a pink hammer! Thanks for the clarification dtrackgirl, AND for coming back in after the initial post. Lots of women hit and run after posting an ad, and it's rather annoying.
