sunflower, by your posts, it appears that you're doing everything right.
1. A thread is a conversation. It may have an answer, it may ebb and flow, but it is a particular discussion. You can tell you're in teh same discussion (thread) by scrolling down and clicking the next page. If you want to post, you can then click on the last page, scroll down to read the last post, type your answer or comment and click submit reply. 2. When you are in a discussion you are in a folder. The hosts from the chat rooms have their own folders. Other than that, the folders are discussions that you are in when you're reading, like this one. 3. You answer message board posts as you have been doing. You want to comment or answer a particular discussion in the folder where you're reading it. Just scroll down to the Quick Reply box, type, and submit reply. Or, you can click on post message, type in that box and then submit. It's the same thing, but the box you get from Post Message gives you more help. 4. You do NOT have to log in here before you go into the chat room. 5. This is where you would come for message board questions. But, we're fairly easy going around here. If you get lost and need an answer to something else, I'm sure one of us will answer you in here. |

Hi Sunflower, yes you are in a thread! And I'm following it to see if you can help me too!
I found the f.a.q. in the menu on the left very helpful. You can also ask questions in the chatrooms, where I have always found what I wanted from THE nicest teachers I'm only here a couple of weeks more than you, but already feel comfortable. Say hi in womensSpace, when you get there

You can send an existing message to another WOW member by clicking the Forward button at the bottom of the message, and filling her name in the box. But you have to know the other member's name.
I don't think you can e-mail a pm! You can save it on your computer by selecting the text you want to save. Hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse over the text until you have highlighted what you want to save. Then click the right button for a little menu, and select copy. The text is remembered by your computer, until you copy something else, or turn the computer off. Now you open Microsoft Word, or any other word processor, where you will be shown a blank page. Click the right mouse button anywhere on the page, for the little menu again. This time select paste, and the text will appear on the blank page! Click on File (top left of the screen) and use 'SaveAs'. Bingo! You've saved your pm! To delete a message, click in the little delete box at the top of the message, and then click the delete button! Gone
