National Novel Writing Month. You write beginning Nov. 1 and stop at midnight Dec. 1...and try to write 50,000 words. If you do, you 'win.'

Cool, I'll have to check that out. Maybe life will be settled enough by then for me to think coherently. I'll check out the site. Thanks Liam.

You're welcome! Maybe I'll try it again this year. I spend a few hours a week at Starbuck's, waiting for a ride, and I've been planning on writing during that time. And weekends are semi-free, once homework is done. I need something to occupy my time that doesn't cost any money!

Being broke is one of the reasons I started writing, and it was my inspiration to learn to draw. I bought cheap charcoal and used old brown grocery bags. Eventually I progressed to a roll of brown paper!!!

Sorry to pop in and out like I do. It's great to pop in and talk every once in awhile though.

Hi C.E.W. I write, although this weekend would not have given you any indication of that...I had my document OPEN at least...does that count for anything?
What kind of writing do you do? I made a new year's resolution this year to finally finish the "damn novel" as I like to call it. So far so good...I should be able to finish this summer, if not before. Do you have something for us to read? (Thus, the question...)

What do I write?
I have three novels in various stages of (un)readiness and one in progress, an already published collection of short stories, a collection of poetry about to be released this summer, I have several (seven so far)articles already published in industry specific magazines and three more due out in July and I occasionally write web copy. I also have a short radio play under consideration at present and I am collaborating on a sitcom pilot idea (real long shot but hey...nothing ventured and all that ) Do I have something for people to read? Well take a guess Seriously though I was just trying to reach out and see who was out there... I love to make contact with other writers.. SO... what's "the damn novel" about?
