I have old prom dresses and weird shoes and ribbons and halloween costumes, hats and gloves that I keep in the attic for my children to play with which they are outgrowing, but everyonce in awhile they play.and they can always use them for halloween. I also have all kinds of cookie cutters. and silk flowers and string, and materials.

I've got a huge stash of candle-making stuff--bits of wax (both pre-used and bits of chopped up candles that didn't turn out right), molds, wicks, etc. That and drawing/painting and knitting stuff. Guess I'm just an artsy person.

Sounds good to me rjsfeminist. Candles are useful and comforting and drawing/painting is escapism at its best!
I've got lots of art supplies myself, AND a doll house that I have never started on. I love miniatures and I WILL complete this house someday. I bought it already assembled but unfinished. I mean well....... |

Several years ago, a friend of mine assembled a doll house...It had sat in her garage for probably a year or so before she got around to putting it together. Made a rainy weekend project of it.
For several years, I was able to sell some of the candles at a local indie bookstore, which has since gone out of business. (I've sold them at a couple of craft shows, too...I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or only feeds my creative thing...LOL.) Fortunately, they also make great presents. Very relaxing (and fun) to make, great to give, and almost always appreciated... |

I have so many different stashes that I don't know where to begin!!! Tools, wood, old pieces of metal, art supplies, sewing/upholstery/embroidering supplies. My favorite thing to do is to make jewelery out of wood carved celtic designs. I never sell anything, but people get great Christmas gifts from me!!!

That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read "stash," after all I am dyed in the wool hippie! Glad to know other minds think the way I do!

Alas, poor brede. She has discovered ebay. I am fascinated by brass boxes. And they are going to be a source of contention if I don't regain a modicum of control! I have 3 (soon to be four) Princes Mary Christmas 1914 gift boxes, 3 chinese boxes (2 from the early 1900's and one from the early 1800's). And I have 3 more chinese boxes (a cricket box, a woven box and a decorated box, all brass) that should be here anyday. I'm getting them for terrific prices, but I'm still spending money. So I guess my stash is boxes as well. A conundrum for sure.

I've noticed I've also got a huge stash of paints, stuff to be painted (flower pots, wood--my neighbor was throwing the wood out from his "home-improvement" stuff, and, since I couldn't afford to buy any canvases...I'm now painting on wood), as well as yarn for a zillion knitting projects, etc....
