Why? Let me just sat this: "love, sex, and marriage do not parallel with each other" although they are steps. Remember that! Divorce happens bc partners/spouse thinks it does.

Remind him about of memories of you and him. Don't argue with each other. Fight for your family includes your husband. Just don't hurt yourself and do any nothing to stupid. But your kids comes are important too more than the man who wants to leave you & his kids.
