Hi Everyone. Just do here. Haven't posted a thing or nuttin' since I joined this wonderfull room. I'm so glad I found it.
When we didn't have a room I tried others but something just allways lacked. Guess it was all the great people from WomensSpace. What a great bunch of gals. I love going to the room when I feeling a little down. It's a great pick-me-up. Allways made to feel better. I sometime think hubby (Billy Tall Dog) regreats letting me have the computer muchless the Webtv. Ha, ha. His fault. But that's okey, he has his hang ups, too.LOL When I went from Web to puter, I had a heck of a time getting back into the room. But I am one stubborn person. If it can be done, I will find a way. And did. Hooray for me. And as far as the men in the room goes, my opinion is that they just don't belong. They do have their own. All they have to do is look for it. How can they feel comfortable in our room? I wouldn't be in theirs. Went to one room that I thought was a womens room, or at least for people around my age. Boy did I get fooled. Thought at first that maybe it was my imagination so I tried it three times just to be sure. My conclusion was: FORGET IT!, and I sure haven't been back. I know I came to our room by accident but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Clare, keep coming on in. You won't find a better place to go. Hubby will get used to it and you will have found some of the most supportive people in the world. Well, I guess I better stop rambling on and on, and on, and on and see what else I can do. Like figure out how to use the smilies, etc.. See ya'll later. Dodrop 44

{{{dodrop}}} you found us! I agree, there is no better place on the net when you are feeling down or just need some place to relax after a long day
If you go to FAQ at the top of the page, then go down to smilies, it will explain how to do them...I printed out the page, as I get so : sometimes! As to men in womensspace...there are some that seem fine, they just join in the conversation...however, they are the exception to the rule. It seems to me that men who come in and are "manly - men" generally don't last too long! |

Happy Labor Day!!!!
Is Labor Day an international holiday? I know it goes on in the US but what about Canada, and other parts of the world? If there is anyone who would like to send a friend a labor day card here is a good page of them.... http://www.bluemountain.com/cdb/HDY/LAD/ Enjoy your holiday, and remember, this is about celebrating YOU!

Morning Everyone,
Just thought I'd stop by and see how everyone was doing before I got busy around the house. Have to get it done today and pay bills . Supposed to do jury duty again this week. Not really looking forward to it. So, did everyone have a good holiday? It was quiet around here except for the neibhors kids, etc.. Mine are either too far away to come down or had to work. Anyhow, I'm outta here. See ya'll in the room. dodrop44

((((bookwmn))))) about not knowing about your hubby being ill and in hospital. Just to know he's doing so much better and able to come home soon All my best to him and to you. Boy!, is it ever hot here today. Supposed to have gotten some relieve but it hasn't come yet But they said it was going to rain tonight and through Sunday but I don't think it's going to happen. It sounds stupid but during the summer and fall, when we really need rain and it is predicted, military jets start flying over and we get no rain; just the clouds. Darned if they didn't start in this morning. Well, gotta run before I get booted in the buns for being on here so much. See everyone later. n outta here. dodrop

(((((Everyone)))))
The suffering going on in the US today is unimaginable, and I hope none of our sisters or their families are in danger. I can't believe anyone would willingly harm thousands of people, not to think anything of their loved ones. Our whole family is thinking of those hurt and the people attached to them. People are donating blood even in Iowa for those that need it. Anyone who knows of other things that would help please list it here. I know we all would like to lend a hand. (((((((America))))))) |

If September 11 is to be a day of infamy, then September 12 shall forever be a day to live in unity.

Terrible Tradagey
((((((all roomies and America))))))
We all talk about all the people in the towers and in the airliners, but has anyone given thought to the poor children that may be without one or both of their parents? My, my, it sadens me so. Some may have anunts, uncles, cousins or grandparents to finish raising them but for so very many, they may not. What happens to these poor children? My heart just breaks for them. One of my neighbors have a son-in-law in the army and he works in the pentagon. Just not too far from where it was hit. That in itsself may have been a blessing: but when we finally found out anything, the family ended up being doubley blessed. He didn't have to work yesterday. But, he had some important papers he was to take in. He was just a few miles from work and called in. They told him to just turn around and go home. The plane had allready hit. Yes, David was blessed and so were his wife and 2 children. Just why couldn't everyone have been that blessed? It just boggels the mind. But I do have to say, I surely hope the people who comited this horrible crime, can sleep in peace for the rest of time. They haven't the time we do but theirs will never be as great as our end of time will be. God Bless America and all that dewell within. dodrop
