WHAT?? The Country Bear Jamboree is GONE???? Why?? I don't understand? I haven't been to DisneyWorld in a long time... clue me in? Glad to see you {{{Lou}}} and {{{vicki}}}!!!!! Hey Les, I am all for a life of leisure, but mine will come only if I win the lottery, (which I never play), or some unknown benefactor leaves me a mint. (hardly possible). So, I keep telling my kids to save a room for grandma in their new houses!!! I hope I will be like my mother, who will turn 81 in September, still has a part time job, picks up "elderly" ladies for church on Sundays, sings in the church choir and teaches 3rd grade Sunday school, and Emails me regularly once a week!!! Bless her soul. |

Hi there {{{Nova}}}
Country Bear Jamboree as DisneyLAND is going to be gone...not sure about Disney World. Your mom sounds great. :-) It's SATURDAY! I need to do something! ;-)

an "e" for you know who :D
((((*Star*)))) I figure it's 9 years until leisure for me, but I'm not counting my chickens, so I take the fun whenever I can get it. LOL
((((Les)))) Yep. There's the hoedown, in which Big Al sings blood on the saddle. Then, there's the Christmas sing, in which Buff, Melvin, and the reindeer wear lights in their antlers/horns, and the songs are merry. Then, there's the summer camp version, in which everyone is in vacation duds and sings about camping, swimming, summertime. LOLOLOL

and now, because i haven't been here in a long while and because i have some time for a leisurely post...
<u>stuff and things</u> 1. my boss will be heretofor known as "the devil." his name (the devil) must be whisssspered to properly reflect the eeeeevill nature of his moronic being. thank you. 2. my new editor (who, sadly, is not technically my boss) is delightful -- warm, friendly, smart, funny AND knows all about TV, magazines and how to manage people well. 3. a further sign that i need to get off my a$$ and restart my screenwriting: last night, one of my coworkers proudly told me that he's written his first screenplay, that it took him all of four weeks to do -- and it's actually a great story concept. i am smarter than he is. i am a better writer than he is. this event smacked me upside the head and reminded me that no one will know that if i don't actually sit down and WRITE something. 4. the film festival starts in just under a month. i think that covers it. hi to all! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{les, moon, nova, biker, myst and the rest of the gang}}}}}}}}}}}}}} |

{{{{{Les}}}}} Thought I'd drop in and say hi. Hope you've had a good weekend. Mine was nothing like I'd planned, but sometimes those are best.<p>
{{{{{Lou}}}}} Ah, say it ain't so! Country Bear Jamboree is like a local connection to my roots, to Silver Dollar City, to things thought humorous by my grandparents and my parents, as well as by me. Not everything spans generations so well, and nothing else at Disneyland takes me back to my own childhood better. <p> {{{{{Vickie}}}}} Good to see you back around these days! I'm not boycotting or depressed or anything - just haven't felt posty here lately, I guess. I have a Napoleonic VP at my work who is the biggest PITA. Fortunately, my immediate supervisor is great - warm, understanding, VERY funny, supportive, easygoing, etc. But ole Napoleon is a terror. Funny thing is, he knows I could "take him" if it came right down to it, and I've subtlely circulated the idea that if he calls me in to rant at me like a child, I'll do one of two things: 1) I'll offer to come back when he wants to behave like an adult, then leave his office, or 2) we brawl, and when it's over, he goes out on a gurney while I go out in cuffs. <g> So, he essentially stays out of my way, and I stay out of his. It's worked for seven years now. Anyway, good luck with <b><i>the devil</b></i>!<p> {{{{{Moon, Gail, Roo, Dot, QW, Pino, Mysterre, and <u>everyone</u>}}}}} Get yer backsides in here and post, then we'll all have a conversation going again. This seems like that 20 till/20 after silence lately! ;-)

((((((((((((Les)))))))))))A brief bit at home, still house sitting. May stay there permanently! I love the house. Its an big old Victorian they spent a fortune to restore. Its in the historic district of Boulder and only a block off the Pearl St. Mall so I'm in heaven. That with the 60 degree nights and I think I died and went to heaven!

Cool!
I haven't been to the boards in ages, but I still collected hugs, cool!
((((LF))) How have you been doing? Hope you're having a wonderful summer in your new house, and that Drew is having a great time. We're heading out for a long weekend in Halifax shortly, I can't wait! I wish that Dang Sue would hurry back from dropping Harley off! Speaking of Harley, I taught him a new trick on the weekend. He now jumps off the diving board to get a ball, he is so cool! (((Vic))) sorry to hear you work for the devil. Make sure you don't sell your soul to him. Have you started working on your screenplay again? (((Lou))) You're back to work already? I thought you had a week or so left to your summer break. (((BX))) How's your Harley? Monday is Retro Day at work, we (the training dept) are going as the Pink Ladies, and the male supervisors are going to be the T-Birds. I think I'll be sassy & full of attitude. My friend and I were arguing over which one of us would be Rizzo, LOL!

I went back to work for awhile. Went in to school #2, its trashed. Talked with two friends there, one is bursting with happiness as she is <i>finally</i> pregneant! The other was on LOA last year and I really missed her. She is my ally in normalacy in a town that emphasized "touchy-feelie-yum-yums" ahead of actually expecting students to.... gasp... dare I say it.... learn something? ("The horror! The horror!")
Went to School #1... ugh. Crap and boxes everywhere. Talked with my new district boss (fortunately he and I get along rather well.) Found out I am being moved from school #2 to a montessori school on uni hill (ugh.) Anyway, I worked on the servers and woke the puppies up. I'll work from tomorrow through next friday unpacking all the labs and getting everything online. Felt overwhelmed. went home. Played with landlord's little 21 month old Zak, "my boy." He was so happy to see me. I taught him a new skill: Seefood *g* ((((((Liam))))))
