HEAR! HEAR!!! Fantasia is fantasiatasic! I'm so happy for her, she deserved it! I hope she stays as nice and funny as she is now.

"I broke my shoe bo-bo-ing," is my new favorite buzz phrase. Even though I have no idea how to spell bo-bo-ing.<g>

Hey, what a good name for her first CD. "I broke my shoe bo-bo-ing!"

Remember last year at this time we were mourning Clay's loss to Ruben?

I have to agree with Simon that Fantasia has to be the best contestant of all seasons.

Okay, THAT'S over, The O.C. is done......NOW WHAT??

Hey Ya'll!

It's time to switch to "Last Comic Standing" on one of the major networks. NBC??? It is on Tuesday nights so we have an American Idol replacement.

I liked Fantasia as well. It was funny, odd, whatever, that the final two were both in their teens. Makes me feel old!!!

Orange County Considers Calling Airport 'The O.C.'

Wed Jun 9, 5:27 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Suddenly, John Wayne ( news ) isn't trendy anymore.

A politician in Southern California's Orange County has suggested that the community's John Wayne Airport might be a more appealing destination for travelers and a better emblem of the region if it had a name that traded on a popular TV show: "The O.C. Airport."

"The O.C.," a drama about the lives and loves of some oversexed teenagers in the affluent, conservative region south of Los Angeles, became a breakout hit for broadcaster Fox this season.

Orange County Supervisor Chris Norby raised the idea before his colleagues of changing the name of the airport on Tuesday night. Though Norby has no problem with the rugged actor Wayne, after whom the airport was renamed in 1979, a spokeswoman for him said he would like to capitalize on growing recognition for the county, thanks to the TV show.

A Fox spokesman called his proposal "flattering."

Not everyone in the community is so enthusiastic about the idea, though, especially those in the City of Santa Ana, where the airport is located. The editor of CityLine, the bimonthly publication of the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce called Norby's idea "ridiculous.

"TV shows come and go. We could call it the 'American Idol' Airport," editor Karen Anderson said. "I think they should just leave well enough alone."

Ironically, "The O.C." is actually filmed in various cities in neighboring Los Angeles County.

In 1950, the town of Hot Springs, New Mexico. which was looking for a way to stand out from other small towns, changed its name to "Truth or Consequences," a then popular TV show. (With additional reporting by Steve Gorman)

"The Jury"

It's very good! Take a look at it, particularly if you're a Barry Levinson fan! Each episode is a stand alone episode so you can't fall behind. They air on Fox, on Tuesday, with a repeat airing on Friday.

If you're always looking for the next good crime drama show, this just might be the ticket for you! If not, don't blame me, I just work here.

I had the Tivo grab it and then my daughter watched it first. (she's younger and has more hours to waste<g>) On her recommendation I watched it and enjoyed it quite a bit. Unfortunately, since it's on Fox, they added all this crap about texting in your vote and showing how the viewing audience would voted, but they only ran that at the bottom of the screen so you can ignore it.

Other than that, it's interesting and a little different from other crime dramas. I love all the law and Orders, but I need a little break from time to time. So anyway, as "the jury" deliberates you see pieces of the courtroom drama and after the jury reaches its verdict, you see what "really" happened.

Other than the judge (played by Barry Levinson) and the D.A. and defense lawyers, the cast is different for each show. Interesting and different. Good summertime fare.

I haven't been watching the old tube very much. Sick again, and I had to negotiate having the roof replaced. At night I've been so tired that I read the unopened, morning paper. That gives you a clue about my days!

Addie,
I watched the Jury this week and was hooked! And, while I think that the jury made just about the only decision it could based on what it heard...I was TICKED OFF to learn that the guy actually "HELPED" more than he said...he may as well have pulled the trigger! JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!

anyway..thanks for the recommendation...it was good!
