HELP HELP HELP for some reason the server has decided to ban me on my IP. I've done nothing to deserve this and feel utterly handicapped now. Please WOW's, look into it as I'm getting cold turkey.
We have had a computer crash and all my addy's are temporarily unavailable. ROOMIES alert, help me...

As a result of yesterday's judgement allowing excite@home to shut down their broadband internet service, DarkMyst.org is experiencing some server problems.

In order to connect, you will have to change your connection address from irc.darkmyst.org to 216.218.194.198 or 209.85.227.185

For WebTV:

On the IRC you use, find the space that says irc.darkmyst.org and replace it with 209.85.227.185 or 216.218.194.198

For mIRC:

Open mIRC and on the "mIRC Options" screen, where your nickname information is, click the "edit" button. In the box that pops up, change "IRC Server" from irc.darkmyst.org to 216.218.194.198 or 209.85.227.185 then click "ok" and connect as usual.

For Pirch:

On the "Server Connection" screen, where it has your nickname and stuff, click "Edit Server List" and the "Network Explorer" box will pop up.

Select your DarkMyst connection in the top half of the box, then right click on the DarkMyst connection in the bottom half of the box and click "properties."

In the "Server Properties" box, change the Address to 216.218.194.198 then click ok, close the Network Explorer box, and connect as usual.

For Ircle:

Click "Server"

Click "ADD"

Then put 216.218.194.198 or 209.85.227.185 in the box

Click "Save prefs"

okey, people, why can't i get into the room. have tried twice tonight and can not get anywhere. not even when i come to the boards. i know i've had a hard week and a lousy day but this just makes it worse. LOL. someone let me know what to do. i've done so much of it before but this it the total pits. or have y'all kicked me out? hope not. i think this is just about the best room anyone can get into.

I went into Womensspace this morning and as soon as I hugged a sertin person. BAM she jumped on me! For what reason I have no idea. She went on to say she reported me?
For what I have no idea. Then she said the post you made yesterday slammed me. And that was totoaly uncalled for! I go in the room and say good morning then I am accused of something! She said to talk to Tammy and DLc? She said enough said until they contact me! umm what post is this?
I have read all these post and have not said a word about it! Ever since something happened with 3 roomies and I was asked for a log I have been made out as the bad guy. For what reason? Well I am saying this now. What ever you are talking about (person who was in room this a.m) I have no idea what post you are talking about. Please dont jump on me when I first enter the room!

I do not slam people. I try to get along with everyone!
I also know from previous post about the ignore feature and I have used. So no more of this stuff. If you have a problem with someone please dont bring me into and ask me for a log. If you do I will politley say no I do not want involved. My advice to others is do the same thing.

And until someone tells me what I did yesterday. Please dont jump on me and accuse of something.

I have been with Womensspace over a year now and the things that are happening now make me speachless.

I am still trying to figure out how I came to be the bad guy in all this!

((Susie)) when you open your pirch, you see where it says darkmyst.org:6667 ?
Put one of these numbers in instead (and then save, yes you want to replace too)
216.218.194.198 or 209.85.227.185
those numbers are the numerical address of darkmyst so you go to the same place, just using their numbers instead of their name. Give it a try

OK......this post from hoggie, is the only directions of all of the ones here that got me in!

I think the other directions are telling us to put the numbers in the wrong spot.

Try hoggies way......worked for me!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Before you believe anything you hear in the chat room, find out first if it's true and then make sure it wasn't said out of context.

In the more than 4 years I've hosted here I have absolutely never ever seen Tammy post anything detrimental about any host. Never. DLC hasn't either. That's hogwash. While Tammy and I disagree on occasion, she has proven to be totally professional and discreet as a leader for this forum. She has not shared any information with anyone inappropriately, and she simply would not do such a thing. I'll stake my reputation on that.

However, comments taken out of context and twisted to change the meaning is something that has happened in our chat room often. It seems a bizzare means of undermining a fine organization of volunteers.

To everyone: I have tried not to enter into the disagreements there have been lately in our chat room, but I think I may just offer one small piece of advice, and perhaps help to gain a little perspective...
