sigh Eisenhower was wrong senate and house should have terms. They are now staying in too long and becoming very corrupt. I love my country but hate it's leaders. Somehow I do not think our founding fathers wanted us to go in the direction that we have.

No offense to anyone here please, I just can't help my lack of tact. I really appreciate all the ladies here. So give me hell back if you are mind to....

But I think the Republican Party "caved" on the government shut-down only because they finally realized President Obama would purposely cause a default. My reasoning is that the president has inflamed race relations, flaunted the law by not fully enacting Obamacare, made the shut-down as painful as possible and threatened social security checks even though taxes are enough to fully fund SSI and interest on the debt.

But the president has the power to direct spending and I fully believe he would have neglected the interest and caused catastrophic harm to the US and global financial markets. The first president in history to do so.

This is a terrible thing to believe and say. But I think I'm right. One cannot negotiate with a terrorist, that is, unless one will allow equal devastation.

I think that if there was a way to do away with "The Tea Party", Republicans and Democrats would be better off.

I think the government as a whole sucks! None if this shut down would have happened if the senate and the House where told if the government shuts down No political pay roll. No White House pay roll. Want to see how quickly it gets resolved! Let a single mom like me who depends on ssdi and public assistance run things! Then now they tell me cause my 19 year old is in college and I get ssdi my case is being closed! Wow I live high on the hog!! I get 700 a month and my rent is 500 and my car insurance is 200. guess who isn't eating next month or my daughter!

these people in office who make these stupid laws have no idea what's good for the people. I'm almost ashamed to live in this country!!

ok I'll get off my soap box now.
