Hello, everyone:
Girls are almost sensitive about their weight.Sometimes i wonder why this issue isn't serious for men. i think that if we are healthy, we are beautiful, so weight loss will not be a problem. Cheers! |

Hello Everyone
Yes I think women tend to worry about their weight to much and that comes from caring about what others think. Yes I wonder why some men don't care about that. Well for me I am trying to get my body back in shape. From years of starving myself and self abuse I was only eating to kept going. Now I just try one day at a time Good thing is that bathing suit is looking pretty good since swimming season is almost here |

Last August as classes began at the college where we teach, I and a friend began new eating programs. She joined Overeaters Anonymous, and I joined Weight Watchers. Throughout the year, we exchanged information. At my meetings, she noted, the talk was always about food. LOL
Last week, as the school year came to an end, we had each lost 40 pounds, and we agree that one of the keys to this success has been meetings where we make ourselves join others with eating problems, talk openly about eating, and as a result, change our ways of thinking about food and about ourselves.

I decided 2 weeks ago, that I needed to change some things in my life. I was at the point where carrying my kids up the stairs was nearly impossible, and just carrying myself up them sometimes was even difficult.
So, after hearing that our local fitness club was running a "try it for 30 days free" promotion, I decided to finally do it! I have been to the gym nearly every day - I don't overdo it, I do about 40 minutes per day, but do I ever feel it! And I have been watching what I eat. Trying to eat alot of fruits and veg, not so much packaged stuff or carbs. I have lost 9 lbs so far.......only 40 more to go <G> And I feel better than I have in years! |

Congratulations Susie!! I've been thinking about joining a gym myself, but I'm a little scared of it. I don't want to be working out with a bunch of buff beautiful people. How has your experience been?

Easy and fun!
((( To all )))
As most of you know I suffered a heart attack in late August, and needed to change things in my life. After talking to my Doctors and other health persons. including my (shrink) lol I've came up with a plan that works for me and thought I might share. First always eat breakfast even if its a slice of toast and have a glass of juice, gives you an energy boost. Drink at least 9, 8oz. glasses of water a day, flushes ones system out and great for the skin. Also makes you fill fuller. I attend a water arobics class for light weights lol, it's fun and really easy, Curves and Ladies Only have these and each session is only about 3.00. You dont need a swim suit, just shorts and a ride home, lol when your doing the exersizes, you think ahhh this is easy and fun but wait till you get out of the pool. WOW muscles you never knew you had are kinda sore. Doing this routine faithfully for 3 months, going just twice a week I have lost 56lbs. and feel like a new woman! I just wanted to share my good health format, maybe I gave someone an idea or two. The main thing is do it for you! ((((To All))) Tina |

wow - wtg {{self}} that is awesome!
{{cinder}} nice to see you hun! I was concerned about that as well - but the gym I joined is not like that at all! I mean there are people in there that are very fit, but no one wears revealing little outfits or anything, we are all there is sweats, and to be honest there are way more people there that look like me, than look "buff". I got a 30 day free thing with this gym, and I liked it so much I joined, but to be honest I am not sure I would have joined without that free trial. Why dont you call around your area and see if anyone is running any promotions? Good Luck; Susie |

WTG Self. I guess I ought to waddle my fat touchy to a Curves place.. 3.00 a session don't seem to bad. If ya have access to a jacuzzi after your work out use it that will help with the soreness alot.
