OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! I weighed at the doctor's office yesterday, and I've lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks!
I know this won't keep up, and I know it's not why I'm doing this, but it's sure nice icing on the cake!!

WTG, kathe!
I lost 3 pounds this past week, and was thrilled. I went for a walk at lunchtime, to the spice shop and back. That was fun. It's chilly, but very sunny outside.

Wtg...
Kathe and Liam... Well my scale, and after moving it to 3 different places says I am definetly on the "9". And I thought "what a nice surprise" Because I wasn't expecting it. I haven't been working out at all. More like a fast shuffle for me. Will try my glider this week and see if hip is ok. |

May I Jump In?
I could use some encouragement! Last summer/fall I lost over a dress size, but I have gained back 10 lb! And it doesn't seem to want to leave me. I have been trying to be diligent about using my exercise bike, and a friend and I are trying to walk three days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays are out). So far I have only lost 1 pound in two weeks. I'm discouraged.
Chocolate is definitely my downfall, and I do like wine, also.

~shergo~ Sure you can join in. Glad to meet you. That 10 pounds can make a big difference in how you feel physically and mentally. Although I wish that is all I had to lose. This is a great place to keep a record of what you are doing to lose weight and maybe to share some insights you may have.

{{{{{ All }}}}}} I have lost 9 pounds total now and last digit on scale reads #7. And lost 1 inch off my hips. Was able to work out a bit... tiny bit on equipment. Not very hungry this week, lol, that will pass. Holiday dinner will surely be a test. |

woohoo.... the last digit on my scale says __5. I lost 2 more pounds! I have just keep my caloric intake the same. A treat once a week. Small treat.. like extra food on plate Saturdays. Eating lots of chef salads... but low or no fat dressings. And that really fills up a dinner plate. And we are eating a little of everything. Almost nothing has been eliminated. Except for fat. We buy no butter, oils, shrimp, beef, chips, chocolate. Although I do have a stash of tollhouse cookie chips...shush.. don't tell the Mr. But I haven't had to get into them. Maybe I should leave them in here. Just for awhile anyhow.

antiana, I find that just having a stash of chocolate around, helps me not to get frantic about needing to eat it. When I don't have ANY in the house, I'm paradoxically more likely to go buy (and eat) large amounts. So as long as you aren't into your stash, keeping it around is probably a good thing.

Well, as I drag my feet in here today... a day late. Still the same weight. Darn. Looking to lose 8 - 10 pounds this month. But really think only 5 it's a slow going thing at this age and physical shape I am in. I really need to reset my mind to this. Ok, making note.. do not eat salsa anymore. It doesn't like me. On the bright side one less thing to buy.

Seek and you shall find. Help is always at hand
Prayer to the Blessed Virgin (never known to fail) O most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendour of heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. O Star of the Sea help me and show me herein you are my Mother. O Holy Mary Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to secure for me in my necessity (make your request here). There are none that can withstand your power. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (Say all the above 3 times). Holy Mary, I place this cause in your hands (say this sentence 3 times). Say this prayer for three consecutive days and then you must publish and it will be granted to you.

I guess if you say it 3,000 times, you wouldn't have time to eat.
