I am looking for one pot meals or crock pot meals. I have recently gone back to work after four years of being at home and would really love some easy, one pot, great tasting meals!

frozen! I have a recipe disc that says it has over a million recipes...I noticed during cooking chat that it has crockpot meals....Tell me what you like and I'll see if any look appealing! Thanks to anniejoan{thwap}, I can never go into cooking chat again without a recipe..I knew I should have kept this CD a secret<g>

Noodles Romanoff</font></B> 8 oz uncooked wide egg noodles 2 cups sour cream 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 TB snipped chives 1 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper 1 large clove garlic, crushed 2 TB margarine or butter 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese <B> Destructions</B> 1. Cook noodles. 2. Mix sour cream, 1/4 cup cheese, the chives, salt, pepper and garlic. 3. Stir butter into hot noodles; stir in sour cream mixture. 4. Arrange on warm platter; sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Serves: 6 to 8 (not really, more like 4) Source: Betty Crocker's Cookbook New and Revised Edition (1980) |

Layered Crab Dip</font></B> 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 TB grated onion 1 TB Worcestershire sauce 11/2 tsp lemon juice 1/2 cup chili or cocktail sauce 7 oz can crab meat 2 TB chopped parsley <B> Destructions</B> 1. Mix cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice together. 2. Spread in a shallow serving dish. 3. Spread chili sauce over top. 4. Drain and rinse crab and spread over chili sauce. 5. Banana Oatmeal Cookies: 2 Cups rolled oats 1 Cup whole wheat flour 1/2 Cup unbleached or all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 Cup very ripe bananas (2 large) 1 egg or 1/4 Cup liquid egg substitute 1/3 Cup packed brown sugar 2 Tablespoons canola oil 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup raisins Preheat oven to 375 F. Spread the oats in a thin layer on a jelly roll pan. Bake, stirring occasionally, for 10 mins, or just until golden brown. Set aside to cool. Leave the oven turned on. In a medium bowl, whisk together the ww flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon & salt. In a large bowl, combine the bananas, egg, brown sugar, oil & vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in the flour mixture. Stir in oats & raisins. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Drop slightly rounded tablespoons of dough about 1" apart on the sheet. Bake for 12 - 14 mins, or until the bottoms are lightly browned around the edges. Remove to a wire rack and cool completely. Makes 48 cookies Per cookie: 50 calories, 1 g protein, 9 g carbohydrates, 1 g fat, 4 mg cholesterol, 1 g dietary fiber, 35 mg sodium. Store cookies in a covered container at room temperature for up to 2 days. After that, refrigerate or freeze them. |

<b>Sweet 'n Sour Pork</b>
1 1/2 lbs. pork (steaks, ribs, chunk, up to you) 2 T fat 1/2 C water Brown pork slightly in hot fat. Add water, cover, and cook slowly for 1 hour (in oven or on stovetop). <u>Sauce</u> 1/2 C brown sugar 4 T cornstarch 1 tsp salt 1/2-2/3 C vinegar 2 C pineapple juice 2 T soy sauce Combine and cook until slightly thickened; stir constantly. Pour over cooked pork; let stand 10 min. Then add: 1 large onion, cut into strips 1 large green pepper, cut into strips 1 can pineapple chunks (drained) carrot strips Cook only 2-3 minutes longer. Vegetables should remain crisp. Serve over hot rice.

CHINESE COLESLAW
1 lb. pkg. cole slaw 4 green onions chopped 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1 pkg. Ramen Noodles, chicken flavored 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup olive oil Flavor packet from noodles 1/2 tsp. salt Crush Ramen Noodles in unopened pkg. Pour coleslaw into large mixing bowl. Add all other ingrenients except for Ramen Noodles and sunflower seeds. Mix well and refrigerate for apprx. 30 minutes. Add Ramen Noodles and sunflower seeds approx. 15-20 minutes before serving and continue to refrigerate.
