Yep. I've been reading articles about it all evening since my mom called and told me.
The creepy/strange/weird thing is, I just called her this morning to tell her how much I loved the show Baretta and how I remembered she liked it, too, back in the 70s. I told her it was on TV Land now and she said she was gonna have to start watching it. When my dad heard the story on the radio, he said, "weren't you and Les just talking about him this morning?" :-\

Playing the twilight zone theme.
I was sitting at a railroad crossing on Friday waiting for a red light. I had a premonition of a derailment caused by rocks or something on the track. Yesterday there was a derailment just a few miles north of me but I don't know what caused it! weird...

We just got digital cable and I really like the Food Network and HGTV (Home & Garden).
Can you tell I'm a new homeowner? ;-)

Liam!!
Do you watch Emril Lagassis cooking show? It is my absolute FAVORITE ever, ever, ever thing to watch when I actually turn ON the TV. Other reasons to turn on TV: Will and Grace (it IS healthy to laugh, you know) Crocidile Hunter (guess I am a kid at heart--I like Steves energy) History Channel, A&E, Discovery (depending on whats on)

He's great!

Food Network--yes! They have their own website, too...
http://www.foodtv.com/ Last month at the L.A. Times Festival of Books, I saw the Too Hot Tamales (who are no longer on FoodTV) cook live. Here's a tidbit for you: Milliken is married to Finegar's ex-husband. I watched the final episode of Third Rock last night, even though I was not a regular viewer. I like John Lithgow, thought the show walked a fine line between ridiculous and brilliantly ironic, and loved the final second.

Cut to the chase. Dick has invited Mary to go with him to his home planet, she hesitates, and he tells her that she should not start dating again at her age. Lift-off is to occur at midnight, Saturday. There's a party for which the aliens have maxed out their credit card (LOL), Elvis Costello entertains, and the magic hour is nearing. The four aliens and Mary are in the red convertable on the hilltop, awaiting midnight. 5 min. to midnight, they are naming all they will miss about earth, and Mary loses her nerve. She exits the car, Dick following. He understands her feeling, and he magicktizes her so that she will not feel the pain of loss, just a deep "knowing." Back in the car, it's midnight, Dick lifts his fist, and they burst into four glowing gloden orbs that are whisked into the cosmos. The end.

One episode of HBO's new series "Six Feet Under," and I am hooked. Key line for the night: "Hey, I'm a realist."

I'm missing a lot by not having HBO...
Okay, we're addicted to the Food Network now. Watched Emeril Lagasse all weekend long...I love the man. (Also, I wrongly said earlier he had a New York accent...he's from Massachusetts. And he's not Italian, he's Portugese & French-Canadian, so...MAN WHEN I'M WRONG, I'M WRONG. ;-) Watched Iron Chef "IC3" <g>. Saw the rematch between Bobby Flay and Chef Morimoto of Japan. Very exciting!
