((((((tupi )))))) Don't ya just hate those kinds of days?! Yes, the photo boxes are like shoe boxes only sturdier.They measure about 4 1/2" deep x 7 1/2" wide x 11" long. On the label it says for 4x6 photos and also for videos. But...we're coming up with tons of uses for them. They hold alot and stack so neatly!! I'm going to keep buying them...hopefully when on sale until I have everything organized and can easily find the stuff. Don't you find you accumulate alot of things when you craft/sew/paint etc?!

Ok...being as we were on the subject of storage of our craft goods. Anyone have any ideas on what to keep an afgham in that is being made? I can't put it in a basket......it snags. It's in a very sad looking cardboard box right now but that is an eye soar in my living room (not that it's the only eye soar *G*) but I was hoping for something more stylish/crafty looking. lol

Hi Frozen
Do you know of those boxes that look like someone put wrapping paper on them? Use one of those or get a plastic storage box and do some decoupage on it. Or just put wrapping paper in/on it with some glue. Then you can make it stylish that way.

A large hatbox...I have seen them at Burlington Coat Factory if you have one of those in your area...also Michael's has them.

My mom used to keep hers in a plastic trash can. When she wasn't working on it, she put a piece of wood on top, covered it with a table cloth and pretended it was an end table.

Have you considered getting one of those quilt stands and hanging it on that? They aren't that big and everyone would see your work. Show it off.

This is espcially timely because this week in my area, is March break for the kids so moms are always looking for things to do with their kids during this time! You have provided a great resource for them! I don't have kids but I do love arts and crafts so this will be fun for me too!

Found a great spring craft on one of the sites listed here.....

Mr. Grasshead (homemade Chia Pet)

pantyhose
grass seed
dirt
yogurt container
water

In the foot of the pantyhose, put 2 tablespoons grass seed, then a hand full of dirt/soil. Cut the pantyhose and tie in a knot. Paint on a face. Place the knotted "tail" into the yogurt container filled with water.

So easy, my kids and I are going to do it this week!

awwww (((((( susie )))))))) Does that ever sound like a cute idea! It's not only easy and affordable, but the kids will have the pleasure of watching it grow!
